Daiwa Tatula 150

Smooth and long casting. Good like capacity, stout and redfish tough. Would buy again.

I was suspicious of the quality relative to the inexpensive cost. All of my other reels are $200-$400 per. The Tatula is smooth and casts trouble free. I bought it to primarily skip under docks and it exceeds my expectations. Would recommend to anyone seeking a very cost effective reel. I didn't rate durability because I haven't used it enough yet.

The Tatula reel has worked so well for me that I've purchased three of them! I started buying these back in 2018, and am glad I did. I kayak fish for both Largemouth and Smallies, and even manage to land a quite few large Pike with no issues on this reel. It's east to dial in, and longer casts are not an issue at all. Something that I just noticed...... I prefer a right hand retrieve, and that's what I've always bought here off Amazon - but I see they changed the listing to "Ambidextrous" now for some reason? I've always used the "Buy Again" feature, and always check to make sure it's the TTU100HS. Not sure why it's changed, but this will cause confusion for some people.

Diawa reels are some of the best out there!

This is a very good bait caster I have 3 or 4 of them they have great casting distance and work very well for my bass fishing needs.

Love the larger frame tatulas for jigging & froggin. I’ve winched some hogs through forests of weeds on this reel & it’s performed excellent. Great value for the money. I’m 6’1, 215 & the reel fits my hand well. It’s not a low pro, so beware if you prefer a smaller frame. Tight lines fishing friends!

I have this daiwa tutula 150 on a 7'4 St Croix slop-n-frog / swim jig rod with 50 pound braided line I'm a FL bass Angler fishing for big bass in heavy cover & over thick mats I've pulled some hawgs out of some thick stuff and this set up will cast a frog a mile if I bought it again for what I'm doing I would go with the 8.1 but I'm happy with it. The reason I have 50lbs braid & not 65 or 80 is because it just don't cast as good as 50 and that goes for any reel.

This is a fantastic reel and rod, it just reminded me why I always buy diawa gear. (i got it with the - Daiwa Tatula 150 Baitcasting Reel 7BB + 1RB, 7.3: 1- and the - Daiwa Ardito-TR Travel Trigger Rod (3 Piece), Medium/7') The action on this rod is great, it fits perfectly into my hand and it casts lazer accurately. The reel is phenomenal i can't believe how well it casts, even with no2 vibrax spinners or a single SP worm with no weight the line glides effortlessly off this reel. I'm using 20lb braid and getting near the performance of an M spinning setup AND then you have some serious power to do some really rough and dirty work. I fish mainly the St. Lawerence river near Montreal and it's perfect for my needs. This reel and rod as a combo is magic.
