Smelly Pants!
We have the collection (Oi Cat, Oi Dog, Oi Frog, and even the one for world book day Oi Goat) and my son loves them. "What do elephants sit on?" "Smelly pants!"

Not For American English Speakers
PRO: great illustrationsCONS:1. The entire punchline and the last SEVEN pages of the book require the child to know that mog is apparently a slang for cat.2. Numerous rhymes don’t work in American English, for example, troll & doll, alpaca & cream cracker.3. Poor grammar, for example, “If I was a...”4. Kids found it boring and long- probably because of the failed rhymes and the unfamiliar slang; maybe would be better for a British English speaker.

Only makes sense if you speak British
This is the 3rd book in a great series, but the whole book doesn’t make sense if you don’t know that “mog” is another word for “cat.” So prep your kid in advance!

Fun and educational
My son loved Oi Frog and asked for Oi Cat aswell. It's a fun way to introduce children to rhyme and the dry humour keeps adults entertained as they read it for the 135th time. Many of the animals are obscure and some of the rhymes a bit tenuous but when I took my son to the farm and he announced 'alpacas sit on cream crackers' I knew we were onto a winner!

BRILLIANT!
My Children and I absolutely LOVE these books.Reading this book, in our house, gets very crazy as we laugh and shout at all the animals; especially Cat, Dog and that Frog... while learning about the different letter sounds, and spellings... and the correct seat for each animal, of course!Suitable for all ages; My son (7) now reads them to his sister (4)... and they can't get enough!

Oi frog, Oi dog and Oi cat are a must!
Oi cat is a great hird book in the series that we have purchased. I highly recommend these series of books (oi frog & Oi dog). They have been great fun to read to my 3 year old son. Now that he is 4 I felt this book was now appropriate. Discovering new animals and rhyming words has been a great way to develop a now fantastic vocabulary and memory.

Another classic
BUT, and this is a big but... for me this is the final title in the series. I've seen what follows 'Oi Cat' and it feels like the theme has been milked as far as it can go. So I've decided to stop at the 3rd one, and I have a very happy toddler (23months).Lovely series and idea, with excellent illustrations.
