Ok I only bought this item today, as a repeater/extender not as a wifi booster. I have an adjacent professionally soundproofed studio, in which I havent been able to use wifi on phone or PC in the few years Ive been in it!. After tediously updating my PC software I found I couldnt even use Windows 10 without being on-line, so Id basically taken a step backwards in going forwards. However this device came to light on youtube and for £17 inc.pnp I thought it worth a go. Instruction manual was a bit crappy, but finding a tutorial video for same or similar device on youtube was easy enough. Outside the studio wi-fi signal was at 3-7%. Inside there was no signal at all. After setting up the device outside the studio in the passageway I got 97% outside the door which remained at 97% inside the studio too, despite the heavily soundproofed walls! So basically Im chuffed. Can watch tutorials whilst working in the studio, whuch now feels more like part of the house than an external remote shed like space.

I bought 2 of them different brands, it says just set and go ,no no no it is not that easy .About 5 different people with good knowledge of electronic of connecting this type of equipments ,but after trying for 3-3.5 hrs no one managed to fix it . Also the instructions are not easy to follow , so at the end I am fed up and retuning them back, I have decided to get the Virgin TVs own brand for around £ 35 -£40 pounds and guerenteed to work. So I would never buy this little gimmicks again ,don't waste time and money. The adds don't tell ou everything.

I don't want to clutter my brain with this crap because none of this matters.

I was led to believe it was simply a matter of plugging the item in and "Hey Presto" I would see a vast improvement. This was not the case as you expect me to be fully conversant with your Technical Jargon. I was disappointed with this and that is the reason it was returned.

Ordered this for my friends summer house , it worked for a bit , but was intermittent

took many attempts to actually connect to home router and then to the internet. Not as straightforward as described in instructions, obviously dependent on the manufacturer of the router you have. However after several hours of trying over 2 days eventually managed to connect extender to router and gain access to the internet. The signal is excellent with little interference. Overall a great piece of equipment for the price, just initially awkward to set up.

Great little wifi range extender, really easy to install apart from accessing the "192.168.10.1 - Login Admin" website as instructed, which needs to be done to connect to the extender to main router by password etc.It took me 1.5 hours of constantly trying to access the admin website before I finally got onto the home-page, but once there, set-up literally took around a minute and it now works perfectly with a very strong wifi signal.So, if you do have issues with the admin website, keep trying and refreshing the page, you will get there!

This item was VERY easy to set up and now works a colour laser printer upstairs via a cable, this was required for the "wireless" connection instead of running a cable all the way up there so it works for school work plus.Setup was at my place to test it then my nephew took it home to connect it up, this required changing the setting to his setup etc, according to him this wasn't as easy as setting it up at my place (first time) as he could not get rid of the password and sign in to replace mine. After a quick search online he did the job and everything works great even with his mobile phone and tablet so it look like this item did what I bought it for.The cable in the box was no good at about 15" long but still you do get one, I had one big enough for the job, thank you.
