Fine- or thin-haired girls, this is probably a no for you. The hairpin is heavy and needs a lot of hair to even have a prayer of holding it in. I have thick, wavy hair and I need to secure this with a few bobby pins to keep it in during the day for a half up/half down style with the top half of my hair pulled back. I could not use this hair pin, even with bobby pins, if I wanted to keep thick, loose strands of hair around my face or without pulling back all the hair on the sides of my head.Super cute, though. :-) Sturdy and durable, too!

I use this anytime I do my hair. I have thick hair so it's usually not a problem getting it to stick (I saw some reviews of others having issues with this,), plus i use hairspray around the area for extra hold. It has weight to it, so it's real metal, and feels nice in quality. I've used hair spray on it so much, and I thought that might deteriorate the look of it, and it hasn't. its not that much money and its very cute so I'm glad I picked this thing up.

I got this specifically for a wedding but I love it so far for daily wear as well. I've used it 2 different ways; with my hair half up or with my hair twisted up. With my hair twisted, this holds it in place, but I dont see it working if you have thick hair. With my hair half up, I used a hair tie first and it held pretty well.For being metal, its fairly comfortable. Overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Love it! Very solid and well made.It wouldn't stay in my hair (if my hair was curlier it might have) so I had to use a hair tie to hold my hair back first and then put my Viking hair piece over that.The pin didn't fit in both directions so I had to insert it from the one side only - I panicked for a second, as I thought I might have broken or bent the pin somehow, but when I used the pin in the direction shown in pic it went through easily.Loved it and it looks fabulous!

I wish the stick was straight and not curvy. It does grab hair taking it out. I like the design so I'm in the middle here and giving it 3 stars which is okay, I guess. You need to know a bun technique that will really keep it up for a long time since I think the stick seems short. It will do well for a half updo. I have thick long hair and it fights with certain hair sticks.

I received the hair clip for Christmas, and fell in love. I noticed a few reviews complaining about the detail work not being very clear. Mine is. It is well-made, and looks great in my hair. My husband said it arrived on time, and he believes it was worth the money. I did receive the helmet charm too. It's pretty cool, but the hole to attach the helmet to a chain is located in an odd place. I am thinking on putting in on a key ring and add it to my key chain. Very, very happy!!

I chose C-D1, which looks like a rectangle of roses with a cross in the middle. It’s great!It looks just like the picture, not shiny, not dull; nice, but rustic looking. It is a little heavier than a plastic clip, but that’s to be expected. My hair is on the thin side, so instead of hair pulled back, hanging loosely, as shown in the photo, I make a little bun which holds all day. Mine did not come with a hairband and or helmet (not a fan of that anyway), but the pin holds well, with no issues.

I was so happy to find this product on Amazon, but I am absolutely thrilled to have it in my hair! Very sturdy yet looks elegant. So easy to use. I wouldn't attempt to take it in carry on luggage though, it could possibly be regarded as a weapon. Regardless I plan to order a few more of these to have a nice variety.
