These sleeves fit the US passport and credit cards reasonably well.I tried them with my access badge at work. Encased in the sleeve, neither the reader at the gate (usually works from a few inches away) nor the one at the building entrance (usually requires contact with the access card) would let me in. Pass!Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of durability concerns since the sleeves are just paper instead of a plastic coated paper and the bottom edge is not glued down all the way to the edges so may catch on things. I think I'll put a bit of Elmer's on the loose ends.They are more expensive than some of the others but still cheap per sleeve. The important thing is that they seem to work. Bottom line is that I would recommend them.Edited to Add: Manufacturer says in comment to this review that the sleeves are actually laminated with two layers of paper encasing one each of metal and plastic. Also that they have addressed the loose corners in their manufacturing process. If that is the case, consider this a 5 star product (though my rating is 4 and half since I had to glue a few corners myself).

Some folks have said these things don't work at all. I disagree. They work exactly as advertised. I was able to test them by putting an RFID key fob in one to see if it would still open a door lock. It did not, so the pouch worked as advertised. The only issue I had was they are just a bit bigger than a credit card. The seam is about 1/8" on each side and that was enough so they would not fit in my wallet the way I normally have them placed. I don't know how long the pouches will last before they tear. I would recommend this product for short term credit card and passport protection, like while on vacation in an unfamiliar place.

Sleeves worked well for our trip. Though they seemed expensive for paper sleeves, they were completely adequate and will hold up for at least two European trips. Interestingly, while using an electronic machine for issuing boarding passes in Amsterdam, the scanner was able to access the passport information (it was open and not in the protector)even though it was several inches away from the reader. If ID thieves use scanners as sensitive as this, then all passports and all credit cards need to be protected 24/7.If you find this review helpful, please let me know by using the voting buttons. I spent hours researching RFID protectors (wallets, card shields). This product was the not the easiest to find in the search but it is the best! Doesn't have the cons of most card shields, e.g, tear easily, fall apart, produce residue on cards. These are sturdy, easy to get cards in and out without risk of tearing, no residue, and fit nicely in my wallet. I was sent a tip sheet too on how to modify the shields that was very helpful.

i have tried these sleeves next to a credit card reader with my card inside and it could not be read, took it out and there was the data. so it clearly works. they are tight, though, and it is a bit of a hassle taking the card out (it gets stuck) or putting it back in (the corners of the sleeve bend and its difficult separating the 2 parts of the sleeve, which being at a cash register is a little annoying). however, safety comes first so i keep using this product.

I previously left a 5 star rating with amazon, and it truly is a 5 star rating. I testedthe product today at my office in our card reader to enter our building, withthe sleeve nothing happened, with the sleeve removed my security card worked.

These sleeves are good quality and serve their protective purpose well. My only concern is that they are a bit overly tight. While I agree they should fit snug over the card/passport, these seem to be overly snug. An added 1/8th inch to the width to the design would make these almost perfect.

I can't love something that I found inconvenient to use but we did faithfully use these while traveling abroad.These card and passport covers block "readers". You should use them domestically as well, I've learned. Two of my grown sons have been victimized with fraudulent charges in other countries. One 500$ fraud charge was difficult to get out of because that son had visited that particular locality. The other son had never been in the country his fraudulent charge came from. Use them! My husband and I did not have any episode overseas. Whose to say if they used the card and it was copied at some point or "read" by someone with a card-reader walking by them? I can't answer that, but these covers do block card reading devices.
