Loc8tor Plus Splashproof Wrist Straps - 2 Pack - Green

I am happy with the material of the band and the tightness of the clasp. Unfortunately we can't use it for our son because the strap is too small to fit on his ankle. If I put it on his wrist he will chew it apart in minutes, maybe seconds. He likes to bite and chew peices off of anything rubber or plastic. Once again I'll have to make my own product to keep my son safe. I also bought this in hopes of finding my son when he gets out but it's not good for that either because the first place he runs to is the nearby river. We're running out of options here. If anyone knows of another product that would be better in this situation please feel free to leave me a comment.

I'll go ahead and give it five stars as it does what it says it is supposed to. I bought this with the loc8tor plus to keep the tag on our 5 year old's arm. (He is autistic and has been "wandering".) The rubber casing fits well and I would imagine it would keep it safe from a major splashing but not a dunking. That's fine. The product makes no claims to be water proof. The snap lock for the wristband is, at least for ours, quite difficult to close and open. I thought about having a set of needle nose pliers around to close it with. It does get a bit easier with use but that is my only minor complaint for the product. I say minor because the difficulty getting the snap shut also keeps my five year old from being able to get it off-- which he tried to do for the first two days. (You may need a flat-head screwdriver to pry the snap open.)I'm happy with the materials it was made from. The rubber bit is pliable and there is no problem getting the tag into it. So, as I said, it does what it says it would with no major drawbacks. For that, I give it five stars.

I bought this thinking it came with the splash-proof silicone jacket, since it's listed in the description, under its own bullet point header as a characteristic of the product. The product is simply the rather flimsy wrist band. That's it. The seller was very good about refunding me the money (although it took a month or so to get refunded to my card) hassle free at least.

It's a couple of pieces of material with a snap that doesn't work very well. Not at all worth the moneyPlus the trackers that are used with this product don't work at all.
