Stonehenge sculptural look
I absolutely love the style of this birdbath, and it took me a looong time to find a style that met my aesthetic. The shallowness of the bath is perfect for the birds, and it is an even depth all the way across. I think most birdbaths on the market are too deep and are ridiculously deep in the middle. Glass birdbaths are too slippery for little birdie feet, so this rough concrete texture is more practical.Beware that the base is insanely heavy. I had to use a dolly to move it, because I could not lift it. Other buyers have complained that there's no way to attach the basin to the base...and that's true. The basin just rests on top of the base, so it's important to level the base as much as possible. It also is important to fit the indentation on the underside of the bath onto the top of the pedestal. So far I have not had any trouble with the basin falling off as some other buyers have noted. If there are problems in the future, I will update my review. Reviewers who have said they think the top was knocked off by a cat clearly have no understanding of cats. There is absolutely NO WAY the weight of a small domestic cat could cause this heavy piece to fall off unless the bowl's underside indentation was not seated over the pedestal AND the bowl was lopsided and severely off center. If you install this piece properly, there should be no problem. For now, I am extremely happy with my purchase. I love the prehistoric, "Stonehenge" look of this piece -- it's very sculptural in style. Most importantly, the birds love it! They found it within an hour of my setting it up. There's a constant parade of visitors all day long.

Looks like Granite. Elegant looks.
Received this bird bath from my family for Christmas to replace the broken one on the patio. Broke from too much ice over the years we owned it.The Kay Berry Bath is a very attractive birdbath. Looks just like granite. Seems durable and able to withstand New England cold and snowy weather without breaking. The birds began to use it as soon as we placed it on the patio. The only downside, thus 4 rather the 5 stars, is the height of the bath stand. Ideally I would prefer it to be 6 or 7" taller.

... received my Birdbath today ahead of schedule and in excellent condition. It is really beautiful
I received my Birdbath today ahead of schedule and in excellent condition. It is really beautiful. My neighbor helped me get it into my garden because it is just a bit heavy. Together we managed it very well. She liked it so much she is thinking about getting one. It is very rustic and engineered so it looks very natural. Love it!!!!!

Kay Berry Cast Stone Bird Bath
This is a nice touch to a flower garden patch in my back yard, the birds love it. I was a little disappointed with the quality but got over it. The bowl does not sit squarely on top of the pedestal and if I took the time I might be able to use some sand paper or other abrasive object to try to smooth it out to perfection. Still it provides enjoyment while I watch the birds drink and bathe. An UPDATE:The water basin cracked on the edge during the winter even though I had inverted it and left it sitting on top of the pedestal. It still holds water but has a slow leak but it does remain about half full after I refill it. The cast stone, i.e. cement, evidently is lower quality than I initially thought and for the price it is now less of a smart purchase. I am lowering my rating to 3 stars.

Leaky Birdbath
This is a lovely, heavy birdbath. Unfortunately, I should have read the reviews. I had a contractor put it up today and it immeiately drained of water.

Nice looking, careful if you have young children or animals
While this is beautiful and heavy, I had to silicon glue the top to the bottom piece. I thought the two pieces would fit together in some way, no they just perch on top of each other. Its not balanced well, my cat jumped up on it and the top piece that weighs almost 30 lbs fell off.. I am glad I don't have younger kids it could have been some crushed toes. But with lots of silicon it has passed my husbands safety test and is now a beautiful addition to our yard.Update- Just under 3 months into owning this and now the water is leaking through the cement material used to make it. It wont hold water for longer then an hour or so. :-( So now its just a pretty piece of cement in the yard

Great bird bath
Have had this over a year. It has weathered nicely. Birds are drawn to it. It looks like real stone. Looks better as it ages. It is small but that works for me.

I absolutely loved this bird bath.
I was looking for a rather different and rustic birdbath to put in my hosta garden at the edge of the woods. I have suet available at all times and get a great variety of birds in this garden. I love the look of this bird bath-plus it is very heavy and substantial- The depth is perfect for both drinking birds and bathing birds. The best part was getting it out of the packaging--it was encased in foam and well protected during shipping. I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend it if you like the "nontraditional look" -Definitely well made.
