5-inch Tube Portable AC Exhaust Hose Wall Mount Plug - Clockwise thread 5CWPLUG

These plugs worked great for the non-window venting of my Honeywell MM14CHCS. To complete the job I used the following:- A coupler that converts to the hose threads from Sylvane: https://www.sylvane.com/honeywell-hose-connector.html?_srt=ssr&keywords=ho3933- a 5" coupler from Supply House: https://www.supplyhouse.com/Lambro-Industries-245-5-Galvanized-Connector-for-Rigid-Semi-rigid-and-Flexible-Duct- a 5" wall vent with damper and screen from HVAC Express: https://stores.hvacexpress.com/wall-vent-with-damper-and-screen-5-inch-sdwva-5/Note: you will have to cut the vent hood pipe to the length you need, but that can easily be done with a hacksaw.The rest was done with that fancy silver HVAC tape to tape the items together.The point of this review is that these plugs work great for off season closure of vents for manufacturers other than the one the supplier specified.

It’s a 3D-printed cap for a corresponding vent — nothing magical. The cap goes on easy, but if you twist it *all* the way on, it can require a decent amount of force to remove it. A rubber gasket might be a nice addition.

Air conditioner weather will soon end in Seattle, so I bought this plug that matches the port I bought a few weeks ago. It fits great and looks great. Each flange is about 1/8" thick, so the combination doesn't protrude much from the wall. I'll put a plug of rockwool between the vent and this plug to do what I can to insulate. Very happy with this purchase.

I exhaust a portable AC unit in a bonus room through the wall. This allows me to remove the hose and close the exhaust when not in use. The thread is perfect and it fits perfectly.

The cap worked great. It matched well with the wall mount hose adapter I also purchased on Amazon. Let’s me seal off an A/C vent. No bugs or dust getting in.

It was perfect for closing off a duct that wasn’t in use!
