Halogen Lighting Transformer 12V 150W Replacement for MDL Corp 316-0002

arrived as expected, but... This transformers and others I later researched have this "soft start" feature that delays energizing the lamps. Sometimes its as many as ten or fifteen seconds before the lights actually turn on which is pretty frustrating. This one as well as many others are sold as replacements for the original transformer that came with the lighting fixtures I bought at Lowes. But that is clearly not the case. They've all been "improved" apparently. I might also add the the lights are not as bright and I've added any wattage to the track light it energizes. I can't say that I'm satisfied but neither can I say with any confidence that any other product WOULD be satisfactory. SOL as they say.

It works great, but it does not have a green wire like the OEM product, had to work on it before installing.

As soon as our electrician installed it, we noticed the lights were dimmer. After 2 weeks the lights started flickering and gave out. It's not a replacement for the MDL Corp. 316-0002. Do not recommend.

Perfect.. I thought I'd have to buy a whole new system, then found this on Amazon. Installed in minutes and it works perfectly. Excellent replacement, very, very happy...now I have light again!

Product apparently was never tested before shipping as the primary winding was faulty and unit did not work. That was the second defective transformer I had received. Switched light to regular bulbs no transformer needed. Transformer put in trash
