I was wary of buying the OEM case, to be honest, as I bought one for my most recent Kindle, the 10th Gen Model and ended up swapping it, as I found it too bulky, to heavy and awkward to hold. So, when this one arrived (bless the desertcart Driver, for working in the terrible weather, Storm Bert, this weekend) I was concerned that: a) like the other case, it might not fit. b) it might be like the one I bought a few years back and ended up returning. I needn't have worried. It fits the device perfectly, offering a decent level of protection. The magnets to hold it shut are nice and secure, both for when the Kindle is closed and for when it's folded back, which it does beautifully and I can attest that it's nice and light and very comfortable to hold. Yes, it is pricey, but I would say, thus far, that it's worth the extra money I've forked out for peace of mind. I've always had black cases in the past, so whether this one will be as easy to keep clean, remains to be seen.
