This book had everything I needed in it including a really good pasta recipe

Good book but the recipes are a little bit unusual - felt ourselves flicking through to find something very appealing. However, my main issue is that you suddenly need to have quite a few extra attachments to do most of the recipes - would have been better to include recipes that can be done with just the basic attachments that come with the machine. That said we’ve struggled to make any recipes because the attachments needed are expensive to buy for the kitchen aid.

If, like me you have recently bought a Kitchenaid, or similar, you may be a bit disappointed with this book, unless you have been lucky enough to have also bought the extra attachments such as the pasta maker, grinder, grater, sausage maker. There are 150 good recipes but many of them call for all the attachments, and there are not very many recipes for cakes, breads etc just using the standard mixer. No doubt I will use the book, but not as often as I had envisaged.

I had the Kitchenaid mixer bought for me for Xmas and didn't know which attachment to use for what purpose, but this book is so helpful, at the side of each recipe it has the symbol of which attachment you need to use and there is a lot of recipes to get started to get used to using it not only for baking cakes but for savoury dishes, I have found this book really helpful and recommend it. It wasn't new and the only thing that gave it away was a tiny tare on the jacket which I put a little sellotape on and now I can't tell its there.

The whole buying process was fine and the book is quite useful although I had not realised how definitely it was aimed at Kitchen Aid products. I had thought that "Ultimate Mixer Book" would encompass Stand Mixers in general
