Absolutely loved it!
I loved the fanfic and i was so happy when I finally had my hands on the book but i was definitely nervous to actually read it. Lots of expectations to live up to. 6 hours later I had read it front to back and absolutely it. I think this book will be up there with Fried Green Tomatoes that I read a couple of times a year and can't get enough. I can't get enough of this either and I can't till part two comes it! I'm horrible at writing reviews but the Eija did a fantastic job with this. I can't praise it enough!

Almost a great book
I really liked this book, it is a little different to the usual as a lot of the book is written as letters between the 2 main characters. The ending however is a bit of a let down. I know the author states that there is a 2nd book but that was not an ending it was a full stop.

Couldn't put it down.
I read this book in twelve hours as I just couldn't put it down. It is a very well written and flowing story and one that totally kept my attention. Centering on 2 people who become pen pals and over time find their feelings overtaking them. The writer did a great job at sucking you right in to feel the stress and anxieties that come with being a soldier and having to disrupt their life for their active duty. Cannot wait for the sequel, hurry Eija please. And please, I hope these two have happiness to look forward too 😉.

Couldn't put it down
I blitzed (historical pun intended) through this book. The characters were warm and inviting and - cliché as it might be - the only disappointing bit was the end.

Excellent read
A really enjoyable and deeply moving story, very well written. Both main characters are people you will care deeply about, and who wouldn't love Jackie, Dani's adorable young daughter! There was, however, one issue that bugged me a bit - the way the author keeps referring to Taylor as "the black woman", "the darker woman" or "the soldier", and Dani as "the brunette" or "the teacher". After we are initially given their descriptions and jobs, why not just "Taylor" and "Danielle"? To keep referring to a person by the colour of her skin suggests a hint of racism. It did end a bit abruptly, but as I write this I have the next instalment queued up on my Kindle, so not an issue!

Quality writing
This is a well set out and interesting book. Romance, suspense, danger and many sweet moments are all present in a well written full length novel. This story is completed in part 2 and makes the time spent with out two main characters a worthwhile endeavour. I recommend this if you really want to engage with a story of high quality.

5 Stars
Loved this book and eager to start the next one. The only negative comment I have is the constant referral to Taylor as "the black woman" or "the darker woman". I felt it was repetitive and unnecessary. Other than that brilliant read; fantastic detail and great writing style.

all the stars!! so good
This book was everything. I really enjoyed Taylor and Dani story so far. Some of the scenes had my heart in my throat. This author does a remarkable job at character development and truly telling a story. At some points I felt like I was in a war or at home waiting for my soldier. I can’t wait to read pt2

The fanfiction was really great and popular (deserved) and the novel is amazing too. The story is moving and compelling. Great to see that other people appreciated it.

What a great book! It was very well-written. Only disappointment is having to wait for the next book to come out. Keep up the awesomeness! ;)

Great story!
Absolutely great! I fell in love with this book after the first few words. It's long ago that I read a book as fast as 'Dear Taylor' and I can't wait for the continuation to read!I loved the characters and the description of their feelings, fears and worries. It's very genuine and every single sentence was a little movie in my head. I loved the way Eija Jimenez made the story alive in my thoughts, in my feelings and, yes, in my dreams. A great story! Don't need more words to say!
