I purchased this MSR water filter, because I needed a new water purifier, and the proven track record of MSR products. While I haven’t had a chance to use it, I have inspected it and read the manual. I’m impressed with its simplicity, quality, ease of use, no filter replacement, simple cleaning procedures, and no noticeable defects. Add to that it was on sale, which made it affordable. I thought it would break at the beginning maybe as the water was first piercing through the filter but then eventually it worked fine. I felt as if the handle was going to break on the first 100 pumps.
