I've now mounted these on all of my ballheads and tripods. The v2 base plate has a much improved button. Being able to quickly move my cameras from shot to shots has saved so much time as a solo creator. When you have enough of these you can just leave the release plates on your cameras and know you can quickly get things done. They're so secure I use them on my overhead rig, with a larger camera and monitor, and a vertical head. I've seen some reviews mention difficulty removing because they forget which way it slides in and out. On the V2 Base Plate the button has the icon for locking the button. The right side is the unlock icon. This is also the direction to remove it. If you are on the other side, the F in Falcam is the direction. Give it a try.
