So I resorted to spraying the rug by shaking and holding the can upside-down to evenly apply a layer of foam. I then worked it in with the brush. Just put the can of cleaner on, pull the trigger on the handle and scrub with the brush standing up. Then run the vacuum after it dries. It even worked on a stain that didn’t come up with the power cleaner. In retrospect, would lubricate handle with soap or oil before attempting to install. So frustrated that I haven't even used yet.
