CWNA-107: Certified Wireless Network Administrator

Nearly, but not quite...
I borrowed the Sybex 106 version of this book from a friend, but I bought this book because I wanted to be up - to - date (107, not 106) and I wanted to get the book from the organisation responsible for the test. I should prefix my comments with the information that I am a freelance wireless network architect, and have several large, state of the art networks to my name...I thought I'd do the test to see if there were holes in my knowledge.Well, yes, as expected, there are holes, but more seriously, there are holes and shortcomings in this book. When complex things are explained (power calculations come immediately to mind, but there are many others), the writers seem to expect the student to learn by rote, not to get a deep understanding if the subject. Personally, I can't work that way, I have a poor memory for facts without understanding, but that may just be me...There are also too many typos and grammatical errors for a book of this type...guys, engage Microsoft grammar and spell checker. The upshot of all this is that I have done most work with the Sybex 106 book, which to my mind is far superior, and only used this book for the bits that are relevant to 107 only. Sorry guys, I hate to be critical, I have written enough technical documentation to know how much effort you will have put into this, but it just ain't up to snuff...If I had the choice again, I would buy the Sybex book
