You may want to silicone along edges for extra security. - - This is a custom made Actinic Blue LED strip. You will NOT find this color in any normal LED strip. - Strip can be cut at every 3 LEDs (on cut lines) to fit any aquarium. - If you need more than 16 Feet you can simply wire 2 strips together. - Strip is completely WaterProof FOR WATERPROOF STRIPS Waterproof Strips are silicone filled to protect the LEDs from water all along the top and sides of the strip. To fully protect the strip long term you will need to run a bead of silicone along both sides of the strip and all around any connection, plug and both ends of the strip. If you do not do this there is risk of the LEDs shorting out. Being a 12V light there is no safety issue. This suggestion is simply to protect your LEDs long term. A Happy Customer
I’ve been looking for some LED strips that would add some fluorescent “POP” to my T5 illuminated reef tank setup for some time. Most blue LED strips out there seem to be above 460nM range so not ideal for what I wanted. These MARSWALLED LED’s claimed to be in the 440-450nM region so I thought I’d give them a go. To the eye they look no different from the usual cheap blue LED strips so I measured the spectra and was pleasantly surprised to find that the output has a nice peak at 442nM, perfect!

Well worth it - definitely grows corals too!
I’d say well worth it. I used 6 rows (just over half of the total roll) to upgrade the light in my fluval spec marine 60l. Since adding the lights I’ve seen a really noticeable increase in coral growth and it makes the aquarium look better in my opinion. Pictures show stock light only in comparison to stock lights plus the light strip.
