Great for headless servers
I just built a server on an ASUS Prime H670-PLUS D4 motherboard to run as a headless Unraid server. This board won't even boot at all without a monitor plugged in. These display port plugs work perfectly. The server booted right up with one plugged into the onboard DP.

Mini-DP reports as DVI device EDID, unable to negoiate higher resolutions
Completely false advertising, the Mini-DP version reports itself as a DVI device with the usual link rate, maxing out available resolution to 8bpp 3840x2160@17Hz, not 60Hz. Unsuitable for its claimed purpose
