The deep gray on this journal looks profession and is so beautiful. I like that the booklets inside aren't permanently bound so you can refill as necessary. it comes with 2 lined booklets, 1 unlined booklet, 1 plastic zippered pouch, and 1 open pouch. I find having 3 booklets can get bulky if you use the pouch so I took 1 booklet out for my needs and lighter carrying load. The refills are 7 1/2" x 4 1/8" which I plan on making myself when the time comes. As others have noted, the clasp touching the paper stained/marked it a little so that might bother you. My journal also has a button imprint on the back which is probably due to several journals being crammed or flatten into each other.

I really like that this is refillable. Often times I buy a notebook and have to throw it away because it gets filled. The elastic holding it shut is a little loose. I think it should have been attached a little shorter so that you have to actually stretch it over the fastener. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the leather. I am interested to see how long it lasts.

I’m really pleased with this purchase. It’s a great size and can easily be thrown in a purse or courier bag. I have a professional job and wanted something I could bring in to meetings for taking notes, something that looks nice but not too big. This journal holder is nicer than I was expecting, especially considering the price. The leather is of good quality and I have not had any problems with the odor as other reviewers have mentioned. The quality of the paper in the replaceable journals is very nice. I am posting a couple of pictures to show how crisp the pen lines are. And the paper is thick enough to prevent any bleeding through so you can write on both sides of the paper with no problem. I hope I can purchase these exact journals again when I need to replace the ones that came with the holder. I highly recommend this leather notebook with journals!

They advertise the journal as 8.6” tall but it’s an inch too small. It is not a standard travelers journal size (so none of my standard refills will fit). It’s disappointing because otherwise the journal is nice.

The shipping was very fast, but when I got the product, the leather felt cheaper than what I expected and the wrap around cover was stuck to outer cover and it peeled off the inner part and stuck to the outer cover and ruined the outer and inner cover. Also the metal on the bands were rusted and ruined one of the inside pages. Would not buy from again.

This is actually a pretty decent journal. Looks good, decent strength and thickness to the leather, and comes with books already all for the price you would pay for refill books.Very handy for those who want to write and doodle at the same time. Comes with lined and blank books and a pocket in the back to put pens, pencils, and art supplies.

I love this journal! I’m a notebook freak and like the leather bound old school feel of this. I bring it everywhere and use it for journaling my experiences and also for writing in sermons at church. My son enjoyed the empty page journal for coloring.
