Works great to power a QuickJack 12V Alternate Power Unit (5585446) instead of using my 12V car battery. According to QuickJack the 12V APU uses 70 amps, so this power supply provides a bit of headroom. The only downside is the cables are a little short.

For what seems like years, I’ve been trying to perfect my off grid battery backup system. It’s gone through a lot of iterations, and I’ve finally found the exact item to make it complete.I’ve used solar, but it’s limited in my situation, battery chargers, which aren’t meant to be used in that manner and then I found this. It’s exactly what I should have been using all along. In combination with a charge controller, it allows me to keep my batteries fully charged from AC power so that in the event of an outage, they will have the maximum charge level.This was really easy to incorporate into my setup and came with all the wires and connectors I needed. Out puts out the expected voltage and works perfectly.

The fan is noisy. All these products have cheap fan which we can try to replace, but what makes it unbearable is the humming sound that is coming from the transformer and it is so loud and unbearable. I will run it for a couple of days and likely return it once I find a replacement.
