I bought this because I just started using a retinol serum on my face at night too aggressively and my skin was burning and over dry.I had also used Bio-Oil on my arms, legs, and chest as a moisturizer and unfortunately had an allergic reaction to it and broke out in hives. So, I wanted an aloe vera gel that I could use on both my face and body.Likes:-Non-Comedogenic (aloe, carbomer and vitamin c all have a rating of 0 on the comedogenic scale)-Very Few Ingredients (the least number of ingredients in aloe vera gels that I can find so far!)-Feels sticky for first minute or so, but as it absorbs and dries is no longer tacky-Cooling-relief/feeling as it dries-Softens skin-Isn't greasy, but is moisturizing-UnscentedDislikes:-If you put on too thick a layer it feels like a thin coating on top of your skin when it dries-The misleading advertising of being USDA certified organicNow that my hives are gone, I still love to use this on my body but letting it absorb for a couple minutes and then moisturizing with Jojoba oil. My arms, legs, and chest are super soft! I also use this on my face under my facial moisturizer as a "serum". It helps alleviate the sensitivity my skin is currently experiencing by lessening the stinging sensation and dryness.

I can only give this one star because:1. Packaging- the pump did not fit the bottle. It comes separately but was useless.2. Product label stars that this does not leave your skin feeling sticky. Iris actually VERY sticky and feels terrible on the skin.3. My face felt uncomfortably dry immediately and started to turn red. I wanted the product off right away.I have used aloe directly from the plant and it's always been soothing and nurturing for my skin. I'm disappointed that I did not get that result from this product. Will be returning!**REVIEW UPDATEI ended up holding on to this product because my daughter had a sunburn and it was the only product I had available at the time. The gel was very soothing on her skin and she started using it regularly. I decided to give this another shot and surprisingly my skin had no adverse reaction to the product.This led me to believe there was something else going on with my skin at the time to make it ultra sensitive. I don't use it because my teenage daughter loves it so much she won't give it back!Also, I figured out that the pump that came with mine had to be pushed in with unusual force to click in and work properly.

The size of 8 fl oz is very ample for the price. The aloe itself has a natural light scent and it is easily absorbed into the skin unlike some others I have tried that just seem to sit on top of my skin. It feels cool and refreshing on my skin and there is NO sticky residue left behind.Anyone who has ever had a sunburn knows aloe vera gel is great for helping it to heal. Aloe vera gel not only helps the healing process but it also relieves itching and helps you not to peel. Aloe vera gel feels so great when you apply it because it gives your skin a cooling feeling which perfect- when you have a sunburn. . This bottle is a very nice amount- 8 fl oz size. The bottle comes with a large size pump making it easy to dispense and apply. So far I have used it as a moisturizer after every shower and in the evening to help reduce skin wrinkles. In the shower I use as a shaving gel. I of course use it after being out in the sun and to soothe bug bites as well as to help heal minor cuts and scrapes.I could not be more satisfied with this product. This is exactly what is claimed. There is barely any smell, and does not go on sticky. I took off 1 star because, as other people have mentioned, the pump is absolutely useless. It does not fit the container, so why bother sending it? Because of this, it's slightly more difficult getting the aloe out of the bottle - but ultimately not that much of a hardship.I didn't take off any starts for this (as it's not the companies fault) but this caused a strong allergic reaction when I put it on my face. Luckily I patch tested but within seconds of application my face turned BRIGHT red and burned. While the redness went down in hours, it caused a slight chemical burn that lasted for several days. If you purchased this to put on your face as a moisturizer, PATCH TEST! I see in the reviews that I am not the only person who had this reaction.
