You may be aware that there are two versions of this product - one is prepared and the other one is unprepared.Traditional Chinese medicine recommends preparing the herb by cooking it in black bean soup to extract the beneficial components and remove emodin - that is toxic and damaging to the liver. The product label does not mention anything about removing emodin from Fo- Ti root.I've contacted the company and this was their only response:I have passed your query over to my Purchasing Manager to contact our supplier to check this.'Our Fo-Ti powder is prepared traditionally but we are unsure about the Tincture and will let you know as soon as we hear back.Thank you for bringing this to our attention.'I never heard back from the company since.
