Product was delivered broken.
This product was delivered broken on the left and right rotation gear.I fixed the problem and found a power socket on the product but no power adapter to connect the item to the mains.Finally as I put the batteries in I found that the spring connections was all on one side.If I knew I had to fix when receiving the item then I would have not purchased it.

An amazing piece of kit at a very reasonable price
An amazing piece of kit at a very reasonable price. I was a bit worried about the YouTube reviews, all of which show a jerky panning action. It's just a YouTube compression problem. With my Canon HF G30 at maximum 20x zoom the panning is extremely smooth; no jumping at all. I intend using it to record classical orchestras so was a bit concerned it might be a bit noisy; you can just about hear a faint sound if you're a couple of feet from it in a very quiet room - no problem for my application. On forums you'll read complaints that the tilt and especially the pan are a bit fast for video. I agree, so I've just ordered the joystick controller at an extortionate £103 incl p&p. You can't buy that on Amazon so I'll have to find somewhere else to review it when it arrives.

Speedy pan
This piece of kit seems well designed and it has variable speed options but even at the slowest speed option for the pan I still get camera blur on my video - even at a relatively high frame rate.

great for the price
I've attached this to my crane job so that I can get a left and right pan with out having to pay out for an expensive Jib. Item arrived very quickly and does the job. Motor makes a noise so if your not using an external mic, your internal camera mic will pick it up. Also has a handy auto mode where the camera pans left and right, so u can chuck it on auto and go get a drink whilst it does all the work for you

very good but needs longer wires. Had to make my own from internet cable as the official ones are very expensive.
