Interiors for a Life in Good Taste

This is a book to pick up over and over to view the pictures, even after reading the enjoyable text. The book is arranged in 5 sections - Social Life, Family Life, Private Life, Sweet Life, and My Life - and each of these is broken down further into subsections. The text is short, generally a page with large font for each subsection, and a page of helpful hints. The designer is opinionated in some of her choices, for example, avoiding brass faucents in the kitchen and recommending chrome. Also, some of us may not have a lovely butler's pantry or bar space. That having been said, the photos are so lovely and inspiring that none of that really matters. In fact, I enjoyed reading those as kind of a perfect world. I see myself picking up this book over and over for inspiration. Well done!

This book lives up to expectations. Great design in every respect and enjoyable to read.

As someone who would consider myself a connoisseur of interior design coffee table books (I feel like I have them all), I have to say that this book is by far my favorite. I am shocked that someone said these designs are dated. Timeless? Yes. Classic? Yes? Dated? Never. Every page was a visual delight and I actually gasped several times. As a designer, I can assure you that this is not dated nor average or just OK. I have a new favorite designer. Just stunning work. Congratulations!

Pretty pictures of beautiful rooms. The author explains her desire and design behind each room which makes a fun read.

This is a very pretty book with some good decorating advice. The homes are light, bright and inspiring. It made me want to give my home a facelift. I recommend this beautiful book plus it would made a lovely gift for a lucky friend.
