This grate is a beast, and will handle the job with ease in my firepit. It is made out of solid steel and surface rust will become visible if used outside. This shouldn't be much of an issue due to its beefy makeup. Just add a cover to your firepit to minimize rusting when not in use

I have an extra large fire pit so it's hard to find a grate that is big enough. This one was the closest in size. It's very well put together. At first I thought the price was way too high but now I can see it's worth the price. I feel like it will last longer than my previous $120 one that lasted only 2 years, rusted and just fell apart.

This piece is solid 1/2” iron double welded. I burn wood frequently and I believe this grate will last several years. Reasonably priced; free delivery.

Haven’t had a chance to use it yet cause of the weather. The first thing I did when I got it was clean all the oil off of it then went to Walmart in the Automotive section and bought 2 cans of the Rust-Oleum High Heat ceramic coating as pictured. And sprayed the whole damn thing in 2 coats. I will update my review after I have used it a few times.

Awesome product that is heavy duty and durable.

I was pleased to see how heavy and sturdy the materials and construction is with this grate. It works perfectly in our fire pit and raises the logs off the ground 4 or 5 inches for good air flow.Couldn’t be happier.

Placed both items in separate fire pits. Fit perfectly.
