colors are good. instructions seem a bit fussy, especially with the admonishment to store them lying down. i have a wall pocket they are kept in so i just turn the package sideways. each marker lies horizontally, but they are stacked up rather than side by sidehaving a choice in tip size isn't really convenient bc that means you have to grab the tip and get ink on your hands to turn it around and flip it the other way. priming was a few steps and took a small amount of time. i don't usually expect markers to require this kind of treatment.i think the ink may run out much faster than i usually expect. markers usually dry up or get lost before i've used up all the ink in them. but the pigment is so liquid; it doesn't seem like they'll be long-lived.

These pens are lots of fun for marking on windows, ceramics, etc. I got a package for a friend for her birthday, then one for my daughter, and as we are being invited to other birthday parties for 12 and 13 year olds--an age for whom I'm not sure what to buy--I will buy more of these. When I ask if one of her friends would like these pens, my daughter says, "Of course. ANYONE would like those." So it's this year's easy birthday present for anyone who doesn't have a set yet. They are also washable, for the most part.They are very fun to use, as the flow is so smooth and the colors are so vibrant. It feels good to draw with them.Keep in mind:-They do not work on porous surfaces (read and head all the warnings).-They have to be shaken and "primed" before the ink starts flowing.-If you don't want to see your child's art all over your windows and mirrors, you might want to establish some ground rules about them. Personally, I love it, and my daughter is very reasonable about it. One of the friends decorated virtually every window and mirror in the house (very easy-going parents who seem to encourage good outlets for imagination).-MAKE SURE THE CAPS ARE ON TIGHT! My daughter came home with orange all over the bottom of her backpack one day, and we learned that one of the caps were not perfectly tight. It seems to have come out, and she did the washing herself, rinsing out the bottom of the backpack, so it can't be that hard, but I am still finding little bits of orange here and there, which seem to still be subject to cleanup, but I don't know if it would come out of every surface that a 12-year old touches during cleanup.-Probably a good idea to store them in a ziploc bag.-Probably also a good idea to dedicate a small towel or rag to cleanup. I haven't noticed that it doesn't come out in the wash, but I couldn't guarantee that it does, either. I THINK they're water soluble and therefore easy to wash.

These liquid chalk markers are fantastic! I should note, other people who use them without reading the instructions complain that they are too dry and don't work. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! They work great, you just have to actually read the instructions! Before using them the first time, shake them really well and then press the tip of the pen against the chalk board so that the pen is perfectly vertical, and hold it for at least a minute. Some colors it takes longer, the blue and purple didn't take as long as the others. White took the longest, and requires the most shaking. Basically, you have to wait until the sponge tip is totally soaked and a small puddle of color just starts to form on the chalkboard.You will notice that the pens get easier to use each time you use them, and it takes less and less time to soak the tip with the liquid chalk. But you do have to shake them and hold the tip down every time you use them, and sometimes while you are using them, you have to shake and re-soak the tip. THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT IS DAMAGED. It is because this is liquid chalk, not ink or paint or anything like that. It just means the chalk is doing it's job and drying as the water evaporates.All in all, I love the rich vibrant colors, and I use them all the time. They last me a really long time, I have been using most of the colors every week and still haven't had to replace them yet! You can use them on windows, chalkboards, cardboard, almost any medium, and I recommend to everyone who is looking for something colorful that they can easily wipe away with water later on.

Ok so I know these markers are not designed to use on chalkboard or chalkboard paint but we did a really pretty mural as a centerpiece in our store and I bought several blacklights but it wouldn't light up the chalk I bought. We were so disappointed because the guy worked really hard on the mural and it would glow.THAT'S UP UNTIL WE BOUGHT THESE GLOWCHALK MARKERS. WOW!!!!!!!I know they will stain chalkboard but we don't care because the mural is a permanent fixture in our store. So we traced everything we had done with our GlowChalk Markers and waited in anticipation and turned on the blacklights and HOLY COW , it lit up like a christmas tree. We were so happy.Even though we didn't use as directed, these markers worked fantastic and they glow so bright with bright vivid color under the blacklight.I thank you guys so much for making this product available as there was no other option but now we have a glowing beautiful hand drawn mural in our store and it gets so much attention.These were really easy to use and to prime for the first time. Great instructions on the pens and packaging.I just can't get over how pink the pink is or how beautiful the pigments are in these markers.I highly recommend these to anyone, but please use as directed, ours was a special case circumstance.Thank you guys for offering such a cool product. I'm in love, love love with the neon glow of these markers.The set comes with 8 pens which I think is a great value for what you're getting and most importantly they work as advertised.A+ guys!!!
