DJI Neo Fly More Combo, Mini Drone With 4K UHD Camera for Adults

I bought this for a probably-pretty-poor reason: I wanted the RC-N3 controller for my other drone, but this whole package was only a hundred dollars more than the controller alone. I'm so glad I got the package. This drone is tiny, and it's less-functional than the better-reviewed Neo 2. But it's tough as nails, with the propellers encased in plastic guards in all three dimensions. It's small enough to fit in a camera bag or, for that matter, in a jeans pocket. On the downside, flight time per battery is quite short at between ten and fifteen minutes. The camera is...okay, not great, and since there's no flash card slot, recordings are limited to the on-board 25 GB. In testing the various follow/tracking modes, I found it's not very smart, especially when flying backwards to keep in front of me. It was easy to get it to hit a tree and get stuck in the branches. To its credit, though, it did keep trying until it was able to free itself and continue on its way...until it hit another branch. But the absurdly low price makes up for these shortcomings and then some. It's a good drone to whip out for a quick selfie when you don't want to pair a remote or unpack a larger, more capable drone.

So I’ve only had this drone for a few days, but it is so easy to fly. I feel like I’ve mastered this thing already. It uses satellites and AI to fly and keep it altitude. I’ve flown this thing like 300 feet in the air. I flown it over half a mile away from me. No issues whatsoever takes amazing video this thing is awesome. Do not hesitate to purchase one.

No drone experience here. Had the NEO about one week purchased the “Fly More” package. Nice items. The drone is small, light and robust. Prop noise not bad. Learning to manually fly the drone indoors with great success. Only two crashes by operator. It is impossible to imagine that at the price there is anything close to the NEO by another company. Very intuitive. Very easy to fly. If you never owned a drone this is the one to buy.

Drone works well - battery life could be longer but it is a small drone and it is to be expected. I ended up moving to a controller with a screen since this is for my daughter that does not have a phone yet. She is a natural at fly it and the tutorials that are built into the DJI eco system are very good. It is a great starter drone and I can see how one will want to jump to something faster with longer battery life but it is very compact and fun to use.

I have made multiple bicycle training videos for my company. I have made multiple tutorials for people in general. this drone has gone with me everywhere from New York to LA. indoors or outdoors it is definitely the way to go with active track and follow mode. For the money, you can’t beat it. battery life is about 15 to 18 minutes. You get three of them with this package, which gives you about 45 minutes to an hour of runtime, but if you charge the batteries while the others are being used, the fast charge will enable you to fly longer. Super easy to turn on, super easy to turn off, and it flies back to the palm of your hand. people keep asking how I got such clear video.

This is a fun, affordable starter drone for your child and yourself if you don't have any experience flying drones. You will shortly realize that you need something that is faster and has better battery life but it was easy to fly for my son.

This is a great drone with some caveats. The RC N3 controller that comes with it won't allow you to go into manual mode, you will need the controller 3 for that. This is very capable though as is. The non-rc functions work well but might be too slow for some activities like down hill mountain biking. When it loses track of you it will just stop and hover which is good but would have liked if it could be a bit quicker. Take my review with a grain of salt. It's my 1st drone with FPV capabilities. It really is great for what it is though.

My first foray into having a drone. So far, so good. Neo is easy to fly, and the Fly more Combo gives you a real remote to start learning how to fly manually rather than the pre-definited flight modes. Battery life is not great, but I found some Official OEM batteries available for cheap. With no breeze, I get about 10 mins per battery. Camera quality is excellent, but the lack of a zoom is a real drawback to this being a winner. I was considering the Mini 4K, but it doesn't have the "follow me" features that I bought this for.

Absolutely awesome I got an hour of use my first go and was buzzing the trees in no time, I wish I had purchased the goggles aswell for the ultimate experience. Things you should know about this system: 1) if you use your cellphone and not the remote controller be aware it will not return to base their is no function for that unless its through the Dji remote controller. 2) you can charge the battery's all three at the same time but it needs to be plugged in so you cannot recharge on the fly as their is no power storage within the three battery charger, however you can plug into a powerbank. 3) you can't fly this in the rain, I know it sounds stupid and most people will do their due diligence and check for this but incase your thinking any weather drone this is not. 4) strong winds really impact this little drone and can really slash your fly time, beware if you fly with a wind behind you your drone, will fly fast and easy to where you want. But the return trip will sapp your battery really bad, so you may have to go find your drone when it runs out of battery during the return to base, a task that's not very easy with a small drone like this. 5) This drone is worth every cent! So much fun and quality packed into a small unit

The DJI Neo is a really impressive compact drone, especially for how small and lightweight it is. The 135g size makes it incredibly easy to bring along, and that is one of the biggest strengths of this package. It feels like the kind of drone you can actually take with you often, instead of leaving it at home because it is too much gear to pack. Flight performance is very solid for a drone in this size class. It is stable, responsive, and easy to control, especially with the included RC-N3 controller. The controller gives it a much more precise feel compared to only using a phone or the built-in automated modes. That said, the controller-free modes are a huge part of what makes the Neo fun. Palm takeoff and landing work well, and being able to launch it quickly for a follow shot or QuickShot makes it great for casual filming, hikes, family events, or quick outdoor clips. The camera is better than I expected for such a small drone. The 4K video is sharp enough for social media, travel clips, and personal footage, and the stabilization does a good job keeping the video smooth. It performs best in bright daylight, which is where the footage looks the cleanest. In lower light, the image quality drops off, so I would not treat this as a serious low-light camera drone. For daytime shooting, though, it produces very usable video and nice-looking clips without much effort. The subject tracking and QuickShots are fun and genuinely useful. They make it easy to get dynamic footage without manually setting up every movement. The Neo is especially good for close-range, lower-altitude shots where you want movement, framing, and a bit of cinematic feel without needing a larger drone. The built-in propeller guards also make it feel more approachable around tighter spaces, although I still keep a close eye on obstacles since it does not replace proper obstacle avoidance. The Fly More Combo is definitely the version to get. The extra batteries and charging hub make a big difference because flight time is the main limitation. Battery life is fine for the size, but it goes quickly when testing modes, flying in wind, or doing repeated takes. Having three batteries makes the whole experience much more practical and less stop-and-go. There are a few things to keep in mind. Wind affects it more than a heavier drone, so calm conditions are best. It is also not the drone I would choose for night flying, high wind, or situations where maximum image quality is the priority. It is more of a lightweight, smart, quick-capture drone than a full replacement for a larger camera drone. All in all, I’m very happy with the DJI Neo. It is compact, fun, surprisingly capable, and packed with smart features that make it easy to capture creative footage quickly. For the size, price, and convenience, it delivers a lot.
