Informative - a quick read.
An excellent companion book to the Passport and All in One (big book).I read through this book in just 2 days. Was an easy read. As is typical with Mike Meyers books, was not a total bore to read. I love the anecdotal comments/notes he adds in the chapters it to make it more interesting. This book was very helpful with my testing and covers the new material not included in the Passport or All In One. What I thought was useful in this book, was that it does do a little bit of review of prior windows versions and then compares with the Win7.Just as another reviewer commented, this book also did peek my interest with Windows 7. I too think I will create a dual boot on my machine to play around with it. Some of the features in 7 do seem pretty cool.At the end of the day would recommend this book. Passed the 220-701 and 220-702 just last week and couldn't be happier. Big weight off my shoulders. Couldn't have done it without these books for sure. (Also read the Passport and used the All In One Exam Guide)

Good refresher book or for use to pass the A+
When I get this book I had just started my career in IT as a systems technician. It's a great refresher on the basic if you ever one of those "duh" moments. On top of that, this book is excellent to use when studying for the A+ exam. The A+ is pretty difficult now and consists of two exams to get the final certification. I'd recommend this book as a part of your studying for sure but there may be others out there that offer simulators and extra labs if needed that could end up being a bit more helpful in the long run.For general information this is a great resource and I highly recommend it as an addition to your IT book library.

Great Study Guide
I got this book with my ComptiA book. Very useful and packed with information. Definitely recommend if you are going for your certifications.

Great Study Guide, Real Score Booster
The book was easy to read and I felt Mike Myers covered the material well. I watched the videos on Professor Messer's website, studied this book along with his windows 7 companion, and almost got a perfect score on the A+. Too bad he doesn't have a book for the 70-680. I would like to add I have 10+ years in PC support and there were still several questions I would have not known or ever needed to know on the A+ exam. I simply wanted to apply for a new job and it required 2 certifications along with a degree and experience. If you find yourself in the same situation you would be crazy not to study. Remember, Mike Myer's and Professor Messer are your friends. :)

A necessary piece of the A+ puzzle
I bought this to complement my earlier purchase of Meyers' A+ guide. Being unfamiliar with Windows 7 (okay I knew NOTHING about it), I decided this should be a serious part of the study before I take the test. I was fascinated enough that I decided to add Windows 7 as a boot option to my "study" laptop.I like Meyers' approach and writing style, and fully endorse his books for A+. Have not taken the test yet, but if I don't pass, I can't blame it on his study materials.

very good information!
If you are looking into getting the A+ certification, this book really helps. It is still advised to use more than just one source to study from. Very technical book, not a leisurely read, but worth the money. Forwarning: the 701 and 702 exams are being discontinued very soon for the more technical 801 and 802 tests. its going to be a much harder test so if you were thinking about it, study and take the test sooner rather than later. Good Luck!

Great addition
The Guide to Supporting Windows 7 for CompTIA A+ Certification was a great addition to my library. With the information within the book, I have been able to compare and review over some of the processes that I have used over the years as well as add some unrealized ones. Even though it isn't a be all end all book, this will help greatly as you study for exams.

Nice job- good stuff of course
I cannot tell you this helped me with an exam, as i didn't buy it for that reason. I simply bought it to quickly cover Window7 differences from the XP product. It's a good book, small, easy to read.

great support for comp TIA A+
When my boy started his COMP TIA A+ course, Windows 7 wasn't included, which it still isn't. I understand that the updated version will not be released until sometime between August and October 2013. A long way off yet! So, rather than wait for the material to be updated, he's taking the exam as soon as possible, and learning all he needs to know about Windows 7 from this book. Microsoft will never stop tweaking their operating systems, and I had thought there was very little difference between Vista and 7 (except the fact that you wait one second for 7 to do something, and wait all day for Vista to tell you that it's forgotten the question, and please could you repeat it). It's actually quite surprising how many minor differences there are - enough to fill a pretty decent sized book anyway! When I asked my son whether it was a worthwhile purchase, he grunted in a fairly positive manner. As I have mentioned in the review for the Comp TIA A+ course book, Mike Meyers writes as he speaks. (A pity that so few technical instructors do). So it's good, easy to understand text, well-presented with diagrams and those oh-so-handy tips that my son can impress his fellow geeks with.

Fantastic book and easy to understand
This book has helped me prepare for my comptia A+ exam, if you use computers then you will easly understand the material. This is a extra book to study for CompTia as windows 7 came out after the main book was released.
