## Description

Product description The Freedom Crutch knee platform attachment is the easiest way to be hands free on crutches. The Freedom Crutch is a revolutionary new accessory for traditional crutches, allowing its users self-sufficiency through better use of their arms and hands. The device supports the knee and upper leg by using a unique platform device that is connected to a standard crutch. If you've recently injured your leg below the knee, the Freedom Crutch will provide more freedom and comfort during your rehabilitation. If you're not comfortable with some of the other "knee support" style crutches on the market, then consider the Freedom Crutch. The Freedom Crutch allows you to slowly learn to use just one crutch for the ultimate in comfort, mobility and freedom! Check out the photos to see, first hand, how the Freedom Crutch can benefit you. Directions The Freedom Crutch is made and owned by Veterans. Guidelines for Use: Start by attaching the Freedom Crutch accessory, using the provided hardware, to your crutch so that the knee pad platform is at a comfortable height. Learning to walk with the Freedom Crutch: When using the Freedom Crutch (or any kind of assisting walking device) for the first time, you should start out on carpet or some other non-skid surface. Never use crutches of any kind on wet slippery surfaces! While using two crutches (one with the Freedom Crutch attached) place the knee of the injured leg in the Freedom Crutch knee platform. While standing upright adjust your weight so that an equal amount of weight is distributed between the right and left leg. Pull up slightly on the hand-grip so that the knee rest fits snugly against your knee and move the injured leg and the Freedom Crutch forward about one half of a normal step. Check your balance before proceeding to the next step. Place your weight on the Freedom Crutch and bring your other leg forward and half of a normal step in front of the injured leg. Repeat steps 4 through 6 Continue practicing until you feel comfortable using the Freedom Crutch and be sure to lift the crutch completely off the ground while walking so the crutch tip doesn't drag on the floor causing the crutch to not move forward with your leg. You should feel comfortable enough after a few minutes to take your normal full steps. Using the Freedom Crutch with a hand free: With practice you can maneuver about while having a hand free. This takes some practice and should not be attempted until you are quite comfortable using the Freedom Crutch. After some time you may feel comfortable walking without using the crutch that doesn't have the Freedom Crutch.

Safety Warning Consult with a doctor before using this product. Do not use crutches on surfaces that may be considered slippery, unstable, or uneven. Continuously check wing nuts to ensure product is securely tightened to crutch. Discontinue use immediately if you feel off balance, physically unstable, or are in any danger of losing your balance or falling. See more

The freedom crutch felt unsafe to me so I will return it. Maybe a younger person could use it well, since I'm 62 my balance was not good enough to balance on it.

I wish it would of fit on to my crutch. But being short there was no where to attach it. But I believe that I would of been able to move around lot better with it.
