Which was a relief because some kimchis are fairly hot. But, I was hoping for something, but it wasn't there at all. I have been making sauerkraut with this, which, I know is similar but it is different. It's great for me, but I make a fermented soup and have to add additional chili paste to the soup to get a proper kimchi spice. Worth it if you don't like sweet or spicy kimchi, definitely get it. If not, it's still something you can build on and worth the price you pay.
