This vital telecom tool quickly attaches wires to terminals on punch-down blocks, patch panels, keystone jacks and other phone & data hardware; and trims off excess wire. You can reverse the blade if you want to loop wire through a terminal and connect to other terminals, rather than cutting off the excess wire. A simple push will trigger the impact spring mechanism, giving a more efficient and uniform connection, with a lot less effort than is possible with manual tools. This tool is very similar to the Harris 814 punch-down tool, and accepts the Harris blades. The handle has a unique and locking, blade storage cavity with a thumb dial release. Adjustable impact strength is for different wire thicknesses or terminating to circuit boards. This punch-down tool is color-coded gray on the cut side. The punch-down tool has precision blades which spread the terminal prongs to allow the section of the wire into the contact providing a secure and corrosion resistant connection. The blade finishes the job in the same motion by neatly cutting off the excess wire. Blades are made with hardened steel. All are interchangeable and reversible. This impact punch-down tool terminates shielded or unshielded twisted pair cables to 110 or 66 block panel connections. This is an excellent tool and a very good value, supplied with the important blades (66 & 110) for both voice and data connections. Adjustable high/low impact High quality, rugged design Professional punch-down tool Unique locking blade storage in the handle with thumb dial release Impact absorbing cushioned, grip reduces operator stress for high volume installers
