We bought this Hot Bee train set to place under our Christmas tree, and it has been absolutely spectacular. We’ve used it every Christmas, and it has become part of our holiday tradition. The lights, sounds, and smoke effect make it really fun and magical, especially for kids. It runs smoothly around the tree and keeps children entertained for a long time. The quality is good, it’s easy to set up, and it adds a special touch to Christmas decorations. Overall, this is a wonderful toy that brings a lot of joy every holiday season. We love it and highly recommend it.

This is plastic but is well made and holds up to abuse of a 2 year old as he plays Godzilla. He will play with it for 20 to 30 minutes until he gets bored and goes Godzilla on it. No damage to the train or cars from picking them up and dropping them. The remote control is great. Makes it easy to start and stop the train and change speeds and directions. In my opinion, getting the one with the remote is a must. It is easy to set up and put away....less than 5 minutes. There are extra locks for the track that could add a little time to the setup, but I don't use them. When placed on a flat floor, the track is stable until the monster attacks the tracks. On a carpet, you might want to use the locks. The train is easy to put on the tracks and it stays on the tracks even at full speed and going backwards. It can also run fine on the floor with no tracks (but you can't steer where it goes). The only two minor quibbles....the steam option works but is a little lackluster (but not horrible....you can still see it). I would like more track....there is enough track to put around a medium sized Christmas tree and it is sufficient for minutes of fun. But, some more track could add to the fun when we aren't putting the train around the tree. There was an option with more track but it didn't have the remote control. I think the remote is a must have.

I like about the trainset and the train sounds realistic. It looks like polar express and I can put a little toy in the carrier. But I don't like the train falls off the track. Connecting the front car is tricky because the piece does not stay on. I still like it though.👍🥰😘😎💙

We find it to be a decent little train. It fits around our Christmas tree and makes quite a few different train noises. The steam is just enough to get our little kids enthralled. It seems to be durable, and we appreciate how the tracks have pieces to hold them in place once you snap them together. So far, we are impressed for the value. The trains also hook together easily, even for our kids, and don't seem to skip the track very often. Our kiddos also love the empty cargo piece - they fill it with all kinds of things.

I bought this at Christmas time to put around our tree. It's so cute and reminds me of my childhood. It actually puffs smoke and makes noise! Easy to put together.

While it’s super fun and very festive, the quality of the train itself isn’t the best. The plastic parts and the train body are well made, but the steam feature stopped working after just a couple of uses. Another issue is the battery compartment — it doesn’t fully close and kind of sticks out, which is a bit annoying - the train sometimes doesn’t respond as the battery is getting kinda loose and not fully aligned inside, so you have to push on that cover. The sounds are fun, but the train isn’t very stable and you really have to line it up carefully on the tracks for it to run properly. It’s a fun toy for toddlers (especially knowing they tend to be rough with toys anyway), but if you’re buying it specifically for a Christmas tree setup, I’d probably invest in something sturdier. And choose a version with a remote control. Trust me.

This little train was quite the surprise for my 2 year old grandson who loves trains. Very well built, great size, easy to assemble tracks. Makes realistic train sound and the smoke was the cherry on top for him. He plays with it all the time and is just fascinated with it.

This was so fun!! My grands loved it. The horn and the steam were an extra special treat. The track went together easily and had plenty to fit all the way around a large tree with a wood box skirt around it. Was sturdy and stayed on the track well enough for the price.

Not the same product as the image and descriptions. Very bad quality and very difficult for kids to use. Not hot bee but "orbita home" brand. For sure not for 3+ years because It has very small parts and the tracks have to be built piece by piece because they don't fit together as per the image.

The thing we don’t like is the smaller size of the wheels. Makes it a bit harder than necessary to put all the wagons onto the rails.( Really only a minor gripe) The kids loved it and when we had it actually running laps under the tree: it seemed to embellish the whole experience for children. They also loved the train noises and the smoke from the funnel.( just add water into the boiler) The cost was good. The shipping was very quick and fair. We thought if it was no good then we hadn’t wasted a whole lot of money- but this thing looks great just as a static display. However, we’re pleasantly surprised how it turned out. Yes- we as slightly sceptical purchasers recommend it! Very happy with it.
