It did exactly what I expected. I got the engine out. I have two complaints, First the entire hoist,chain and hooks are SOAKED in oil from the factory. I don't just mean oily, I mean absolutely DRIPPING with oil. It seems excessive. The other disappointment was the quality of the safety latches on the hooks. They are cheap and one was bent to the side. That being said, the chain hoist worked well and was easy to use. It made lifting the engine effortless. Also the hook to hook distance when fully retracted is only about a foot. This is important when working in close quarters. The bottom line, for the price, its a great value!
