Mostly keeps the Heelers out
I have 2 blue heeler looking cowboy corgis, corgi, short legged cowboy corgi, and 1 australian shepherd. All three are excited car ride dogs that screech the entire drive and try to walk all over us and get on us while we are driving. This thing is great. it was a little goofy to set up because I put the velcro cloth thing on the wrong direction but figured it out. Only one heeler is able to easily jump over it but thankfully not when the vehicle is operational. They're able to see us still so they're calmer but we have this boundary to keep them separate.

Keeps Dogs in Back - Sturdy -
Learning curve to put this together, be sure to watch the video – it will save you time! I had to lay this out to assemble but also to attach the mesh barrier to the metal poles. Once I got the Velcro set on the top and center areas - there didn't seem to be enough fabric to properly attach the Velcro on the bottom. I had to undo all the Velcro strips, keep the Velcro not so attached & was able to make it to the bottom. However, you’ll see that some areas it is lacking in full connection. You’ll notice on the top portion the bars are angled. I wasn’t sure which way it was supposed to be from watching the videos. I put this in my husband’s Honda Ridgeline. The arch was first facing the back seat where the dogs would be. Even after attaching it to the headrest & seat belt area it seemed odd. I undid the entire thing, and this time placed the arch at the top towards the headrest – this sat better in the vehicle. May not be correct, not sure, but it was a better fit in our vehicle. The barrier was close to the top of the interior, the bottom was shorter as was designed. I took the dogs for a spin, oddly enough they didn’t bark as much. Perhaps they felt more secure? It was nice not having them try to stick their face up front and try to climb in the passenger seat like one of my dogs does. My husband really really like this and prefers this than anything else we’ve used. I find it very sturdy and secure, and the dogs like it too!

Not Pet-Friendly in Hot Weather — Poor Airflow & Visibility
Restricts airflow significantly — it blocks the rear air vents on the back of the center console, and the front vents can’t push enough air through the small mesh holes to keep your pet cool. It also obstructs the rear window, reducing visibility. I have a newer BMW X5 SUV and unfortunately won’t be using this.

Safe!
This car barrier is a great fit for my car (Honda CRV). Installing the barrier is much easier with two people and watching the video.I love that the mesh allows air to flow freely (my dogs want the car to feel COLD). The barrier is also VERY safe. There’s no obvious spots that a dog could get caught on and hurt themself. Overall, I’m so pleased with this product!

Decent
This was easy to snap together and take apart. It fits in a jeep renegade but not really in an older tacoma. If the middle curved a little more in toward the seat. You have to get the straps tight enough also, we'll my dog gets nervous if it bounces. It does work though. Worth it to keep my dogs safe.

So much more durable than expected
Setup is involved but not complex, and the end result was surprisingly sturdy for being mostly mesh. I have an 80lb reactive gsd who I need to keep from being able to snap on front seat passengers and bark straight in my ear at other dogs. I absolutely love that this is strong enough to keep her contained and soft enough to not hurt her if/when she hits it.Another huge bonus that I didn’t even consider when ordering is it keeps her hair contained tooFit my Honda cr-v perfectly

LOVE IT
My dog does not keep still and is forever trying to get in the front seat. This keeps him in the back and I am able to drive safely without trying to push him in the backseat.

It’s Doing the Job
We’ve got a dog that is more like Houdini. He can get through everything and in the car he doesn’t want to be contained so sneaks up front. This is a solution for that.We did have trouble with set up, the pipes that go through it all are connected, so it’s not like it can be shortened for a specific vehicle. That said it was installed in a Nissan Armada. It could be tighter at the top but we improvised and made it work. The dog needed to be contained on a recent trip and the barrier did its job.
