Both compartments foot pedals and the operation is smooth, the lids are well fitting and have soft closing and so are easy to use. . My local council are moving to segregated recycling so these bins will be ideal for the extra sorting I will be to do. The price of these bins is comparable to other makes and I particularly like that they are available in the colour of my kitchen so the aesthetics are excellent.
