That older one held up well for a long time, so I felt confident ordering from the same company again. Unfortunately, this one was a major disappointment. The quality is definitely not what I remember from this brand. The first issue was that it would not lay flat on the mattress. No matter how many times I adjusted it, there were always areas that stayed bunched up, almost like the protector was too big or poorly fitted. Since this goes directly under your sheets, that matters a lot. A mattress protector should stay smooth and basically disappear under the sheets, not create lumps and uneven spots you keep noticing. The biggest issue came when I realized the mattress protector I received did not appear to be new, even though I purchased it as new. I returned it immediately. For a hygiene item like a mattress protector, that is completely unacceptable. Overall, I’m really disappointed.
