Love the product, but did not like that installation instructions do not come as part of the purchase. I contacted the seller whom said to cut the door 1-1 1/2 inches larger than the opening to the cat door. When cutting a door, you should have a template. You can ruin a door. A template is an easy way to ensure you do not make a mistake. The product is cute and works. My husband is a carpenter so it was easy for him to install without a template.

This is very cute and our cat uses it. It came with instructions that showed that a template came with it but we got no template. We simply used the door itself as a template and that seemed to work just fine. We removed the white pegs that were in the screw holes, traced and then cut the door hole and then used the provided screws to secure the kitty frame to the hold. It does have a sticky band that helps hold it on also. For the price it is very cute and does provide a good sized door for our cat to come and go and keeps her litter box out of site so we don't trip over it and get litter all over our feet while we come and go. She now has her own two story apartment in the laundry room closet. Thanks for a really cute product.

Cute, but harder than I thought it would be to line up the two pieces. You really should take down the door, lay it on it's side and cut. Otherwise, it may not line up just right on the back. It does have a some-what sticky gasket on both sides that did help.I used this on a flimsy, hollow bi-fold door for our laundry and it looks and works pretty good. The screws for this item or a joke and be prepared with some long screws. The little white plastic pieces to fill the holes was a nice touch. Mine DID include a pattern in the box.

The door came with a helpful template and easy to follow instructions. It took me about 15 minutes to install, and that's only because I had to take the door off before cutting. I wanted a door without a flap and with no need for the cat to step over anything since it is at the top of basement stairs, and this fit the bill perfectly.

This little 'cat door' is amazing! My husband installed it with zero problems and our cat loves it! It allows for us to keep her litter box and food out of way of our husky and also out of sight of visitors. I would recommend this to anyone!

I like the look,but the instructions are vague and template does not come in the package. It is available in the follow up email they send. To bad I already installed it. No where on the instructions. Does it say where to place the screws!

Very cute and very easy to install. I was able to do it and I'm not a carpenter by no means. Wish they would send the template with the order though, I had to do it by hand. (so reduction of 1 star for that) -

This kitty door is so adorable and functional. The box it was delivered in is also cute. I wanted a doorway for my cats so they can come and go from our bedroom without having to keep the door open all of the time. The doorway was easy to install and is just as pictured.
