Update: Topdale contacted me about the collar issues.I addressed what the issue was in regards to the collar loosening and turning around my dogs neck. They were kind enough to offer a replacement or refund so they stand behind their product. Thank you Topdale for your good customer service. Stars updated to 3 for customer service.Original: I believe this collar could potentially work well if the adjustment straps were made to hold their tension. I would tighten them up and when he would shake his head the device would turn. I tried shaving his neck and tightening the straps and it would still turn. The noise and the vibration would get his attention at first but after awhile he would just ignore it and he usually ignored it after it had moved around to a different location on his neck. Bummed that it didn’t work like I thought it would. Really wanted to be able to leave the device on him while I was at work so he wouldn’t bark while I’m gone.

I have written very few reviews on products, but I just had to for this one. This collar has been a big WIN for me and my 10 lb. schnoodle. I followed the directions very carefully and the results were amazing. I only use it when she goes for a walk (twice per day) When she barked and heard the beep she looked puzzled but not scared and would look up at me as if to ask "What just happened?" I firmly told her "No barking" My other schnoodle who is not a barker was a little nervous when she heard the beep but within 2 days (4 walks) they both adjusted wonderfully. For two weeks now there has been no barking and no tension at all for me. When I put the collar on her she acts happy and does not baulk about it. Once it is on she doesn't really like the box directly under her jaw so she will shake her neck and the box will usually stay on the side of her neck but it worked fine there. She has never pawed at it or has seemed troubled by it except for giving it just one shake and then she is fine. The instructions say it must fit tight and to cut their hair. I didn't cut her hair and just being snug worked fine. I am also happy with the price and quality. If you try this collar I hope you get the same great results we got.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this collar for my mini terrier because he barks non stop during the day. He is my little buddy who is super smart so i knew he will get trained fast.Day 1: I was a bit nervous to put it on because i didn't want to hurt him at all but the barking had to be stopped or else out neighbors would have kicked us out :) Very good neighbors but excessive barking was driving them nuts. So i put it on and followed the instruction. He heard a dog bark outside and as he would normally do start barking AND here where the magic started. This smart device beeped few times and that surprised him a bit and he stopped right away even when he heard the other dog barking. I was shocked but wasn't sure if he is going to bark the next day.Day 2: I put the collar back on him and as i thought he barked hearing some noise outside but after the device went off, he stopped right away. I think here when he realized that barking is not allowed and just like a magic he does not bark excessively since then.Our neighbor even asked me few days later if i gave away my beloved puppy since they stopped hearing the barking :)

The packaging was neat and the instructions were easy to follow. I like how you can test the vibration intensity before putting the collar on your dog. I have a short haired dog so I did not have to shave any of his fur. I used the highest vibration setting since he's a bigger medium sized dog. My dog didn't seem to mind having it on when I first put it on him either. He got used to it immediately.My dog only barks when he sees another dog and is mostly an outside dog. I usually yell at my dog to stop barking from afar whenever I hear him bark and he stops but I still have to yell because he's usually not close by. The collar has definitely helped because the first few times that he barked, just as I was about to yell I heard his bark end on its own. I also went up to him and told him 'no barking' so he could understand what was happening.It's been a little over a month since I've purchased it and I still have the collar on my dog but I haven't had the need to turn it on recently. It's worked great!

I've been receiving emails pretty frequently to write a review for this product.I usually don't like to leave reviews unless I've used the product for a bit, but since the emails keep coming, I decided to go ahead and post.I initially ordered this because I liked the fact that it did not shock my Chihuahua terrier mix. He gets extremely territorial and possessive. He is the ultimate example of tiny dog syndrome. His personality is larger than he is. Anyway, the previous collar we bought on a friend's recommendation, short circuited and burned his neck pretty badly. So we've been very patient and selective of what we tried.After reading many reviews, we thought we would give this a try. It worked fabulously for about two weeks. Now, it beeps and vibrates if he sighs or sometimes when he's sitting still so now it's just a decorative item on our shelf.Two stars for the two weeks it worked. On to the next thing!

I paid $13.99 last week for this bark collar and now it’s $19.99! I recommended it to my daughter for her dog but the price increase may have deterred her. I just followed all directions and started using a couple of days ago on my Multipoo. Seems to work. Time will tell, The first bark the sound startled her. The second bark the sound startled her. The third bark the sound and vibration stopped her barking and she left the room, no more barking. Hopefully, repeated use will curtail the barking permanently.
