Great water hookup hose for an RV
I use this to bring water to our RV, which is sometimes pretty far from the tap depending on whether we're using it at home or at some more challenging sites. It's very lightweight and packs up taking minimal space. We've been using ours for about 5 years now, no issues. Coiling it up is a little bit tedious because it doesn't necessarily want to be coiled, but it's so lightweight and skinny that you can basically hold the coil in place with one hand. I use 3 thick Velcro strips to hold it securely into a coil for stowing. It doesn't kink easily and the quality is worlds better than any RV / marine potable hose I've ever bought. Drinking water through it has no funny taste, at least the hose doesn't add any additional funny taste that wasn't already there. For my application, I'm very satisfied with it.

This is a quality hose
I bought this hose 10 years ago this month and it looks and performs like new. Very durable, attractive, not bulky, pliable, easy to maneuver around yard, forgiving. Hose does not leak, get a quality nozzle to go with it. I have the eggplant color, 100 feet. Worth every penny.

My favorite hose because it is free of toxins and lightweight and last for years
I have ordered this exact hose before and I loved it because it is FREE of toxins and lasted for several years and almost never kinked. It is great quality, safe to handle or drink from and incredibly durable. The 400 series is a slightly smaller diameter of the hose which I LOVE and now prefer because it is light weight and easier to manage and yet super tough like the bigger diameter hoses. You would be hard pressed to tell any difference in the water per second coming out of the hose so it is a win win. I also think the pricing is fantastic for this type of hose. If you ever go to the store to buy a hose, if you look closely, there is a warning that the hose materials are known to cause cancer and that you must wash your hands after touching the hose. Are you kidding me? Why would anyone buy a toxic cancer causing product like that? Probably because most people are not aware. So i looked for a "drinking water hose" which means it cannot have the toxic chemicals and require you to sterilize your hands if it touches the hose. This hose is a drinking water hose and thus, safe to use. You don't have to wash your hands or feel that you are dispersing toxins into the environment. By the way, the color is a great color to not be obtrusive like a lime green hose could be.

A breeze to use, durable, and safe
This is my favorite hose that I’ve ever bought. I am back to buy a second one for the other side of my house and just realized that I’ve owned my first one for five years and it’s still in perfect condition. It really doesn’t even look faded and it hangs on the south-facing side of our house. I bought it originally to water my garden so chemicals don’t leach into our food from the hose, but I love it’s durability, it’s light weight, and how easy it is to maneuver. I hate my heavy hose on the side of the house and am getting a second one of these for that spot even though I don’t technically need to replace yet. This one kinks but all hoses do because of the way they’re coiled when not in use. It actually is sturdy enough to not get worn down in several spots down like thick hoses tend to do, and then just keep kinking there over and over again. It’s easy to drag around, easy to wind up when done. It is thin but provides enough pressure to get the job done. It might be better this way because it saves water but you can still wash things off with it if you need to. I love that it’s made in the US. Thank you for a product that doesn’t need to be replaced constantly and does the job beautifully.

Water Right PSH-050 Polyurethane Hose
Application: I purchased this hose as a possible replacement for a Gilmour POTABLE water hose in our RV. The RV has a powered hose reel that rolls up any extended hose with manual assistance. Generally, a longer hose is preferable since this would avoid the need to occasionally and manually connect hose extensions to available water sources in campgrounds. However, the hose reel has a limited capacity. The reel has a capacity of about 50 feet of 1/2-inch ID hose. A 5/8-inch ID hose would provide more pressure and probably better flow rates but would have to be cut shorter, probably to about 35 - 40 feet.Candidate Hoses: Since permanent installation of a hose in the RV requires a lot of knuckle-busting labor, I decided to compare three hoses for possible installation into the RV (all were purchased from Amazon):1. Gilmour 12 Series 5 Ply Marine and Recreation Hose 1/2 inch x 50 feet 12-12050 White with Aqua Stripe;2. Apex 7612-50 Neverkink Boat and Camper 2000 1/2 inch x 50 feet Hose, and;3. Water Right PSH-050-MG-4PKRS 50-Foot x 1/2 Inch Polyurethane Lead Safe Ultra Light Slim Garden Hose - Olive GreenObservations: The Gilmour hose was identical to the hose that I had installed in the RV about 2 years ago. However, it needs to be replaced since it had been slightly cut in two places that caused it to leak. The cutting may have occurred during occasional jamming of the hose against the reel housing when the hose was returned to the reel. The Apex hose was a vinyl hose very similar to the Gilmour hose but with a surface that was not quite as smooth as that of the Gilmour hose. The Water Right hose was quite different from the previous two hoses. First, it clearly does not have as large an outside diameter as the other two hoses. It may have a much thinner wall but I doubt it. I don't think it has a 1/2-inch inside diameter. But, at this point, I am not going to cut it to measure the inside diameter. The Water Right hose also feels very tough but also somewhat tacky. It is also lighter in weight.Due to the much smaller appearance of the Water Right hose I decided to compare the flow rates for each hose. Each hose was connected directly to the campground water source and the amount of time required to fill a calibrated 2 gallon container at the end of the hose was recorded. The results are as follows:Gilmour Hose 14.5 seconds (8.3 gallons/minute)Apex Hose 12.5 seconds (9.6 gallons/minute)Water Right Hose 22.5 seconds (5.3 gallons/minute)Clearly, the Water Right hose does not attain the water flow rates achieved by the Gilmour and Apex hoses. The Water Right website infers that the flow rates of their slim hoses are comparable to other hoses in most installations. To test this assertion, each hose was connected directly to the campground water source and the amount of time required to fill a 2 gallon container at the RV KITCHEN FAUCET and the RV SHOWER HEAD was recorded. The results are as follows:Gilmour Hose Kitchen Faucet - 73.0 seconds (1.64 gallons/minute); Shower Head - 43.5 seconds (2.76 gallons/minute)Apex Hose Kitchen Faucet - 71.5 seconds (1.68 gallons/minute); Shower Head - 44.0 seconds (2.73 gallons/minute)Water Right Hose Kitchen Faucet - 75.0 seconds (1.60 gallons/minute); Shower Head - 48.5 seconds (2.47 gallons/minute)Thus, in our RV which has 1/2-inch PEX plumbing with a considerable number of Tees, Elbows, etc. the flow rates are not drastically different. So, if you are needing a hose to fill a pool or simply flood an area then the Water Right hose may not be the best choice based solely on flow rate. However, for our RV I have decided to install the Water Right hose for the following reasons:1. It had comparable end-use flow rates;2. It is smaller in diameter which would allow it to better fit the hose reel and reduce the risk of jams and potential cutting, and;3. It feels tougher than the two vinyl hoses. It definitely does not tend to 'fold' back over itself as easily as the two vinyl hoses. At this time, I cannot compare the kink behavior of these hoses. The Gilmour hose was supposed to have a reduced tendency to kink but I have experienced some kinking with it. The Water Right website says that gradual use of their hose, especially in dirty or dusty situations, will reduce the slightly tacky characteristic of their hose. Prior to installing it in the RV I am going to dust it lightly with Talc to see if that provides a comparable but quicker result.I gave the Water Right hose four stars out of five because it appears to be a very well made, tough hose with hose-end strain relievers. I could not give it five stars because I am skeptical that the hose is indeed a 1/2-inch ID hose and I have not had experience with how kink resistant it is.

Broken nozzle
The nozzle has repeatedly ejected from the hose and will no longer stay secure. This means we cannot attach anything to the hose and the water cannot be left on when not in use. Cheap and expensive. Essentially useless now

Light and easy to handle
It's light and easy to handle, the color is stylish, and I've been using it for over two years without any problems.
