I was cooking on the base of my Kelly Kettle and the flames where coming all up around my pot, so I was apprehensive about grabbing the handles attached to the pot(which I was surprised did not get melted, especially for being a walmart cook set). This was good to get in there and grab it and not worry about getting burnt, except when the flames where jumping around. I also used it to grab my can of pork and beans that I put directly on the Kelly Kettle pot support without putting into a pot. So the front grabber got some bean juice on and it isn't the easiest to get cleaned because of the angles, but it was the right tool and has earned a more accessible place in my go-to bag.

O.K., I have only myself to blame for ordering this item and overlooking the HUMONGOUS SHIPPING CHARGE. This pot gripper costs only $3.99 (reasonable) and the shipping charge is $9.50!!!! Like I said, my fault for not reading everything completely. I probably would have caught this super high shipping charge when I checked out, but I'd ordered a lot of items and overlooked it.Then, after placing the order, I had to write the vendor because it was taking so long to get this shipped. Then when it finally shipped about two weeks later it was sent by regular mail, not Express Delivery, not 2nd Day Express, not Overnight not ANYTHING except REGULAR "SNAIL" MAIL!!! I guess they make their money on the shipping charges. As for the item itself, it's a pot gripper. It's well made and it does what it's supposed to. No "special" extras like a can opener, bottle opener or anything, it's just a pot gripper.There's other pot grippers on Amazon and elsewhere that cost a little more and their shipping charge is reasonable.DO NOT BUY THIS POT GRIPPER UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY ALMOST TRIPLE THE COST OF THE ITEM FOR SHIPPING CHARGES!!!!!
