I love my new weather writer, it's perfect for keeping my scorecards secure and dry during a shoot. The bright red colour makes it hard to misplace, and it stands out on the firing point. I expect to get a good few years of use out of it, and when it comes to replacing it I'll order from Pacenote again. Surprisingly it worked out cheaper to buy the weather writer from Amazon/Pacenote than direct from the manufacturers website.If you work outdoors, and you fill in paperwork, then you need to get one of these.

Used for fieldwork and surveying. It was great in pretty stormy conditions however it was a little cumbersome and the front panel isn't quite as durable as I would have hoped but it hasn't failed me yet.

I used this clipboard for undergraduate geological fieldwork in south Spain, and intend to use it again. It seemed to do a good job of keeping my work dry on the one or two occassions when it rained. Also, since we needed both a notebook, an A4 fieldwork booklet and on some days another A4 booklet with us in the field, this clipboard was useful in that I could keep one or both of the booklets in the waterproofing readily accessible, while using the back of the clipboard for resting my notebook on or one of the booklets when I needed to read/work on them. Of course that only works on dry days, but it did prove useful as a means of having papers easily accessible. Furthermore, you can keep a few coloured pencils and a rubber within the waterproofing (although loose) also for easy access when mapping.

A generally well designed and manufactured product with a couple of annoying omissions. Where is the external pen holder? Why do the opaque side panels partly obscure internally held documents? The corners are also highly vulnerable to knocks and abrasion. A bit of foam padding in a few critical places would greatly enhance its durability.

This bit of kit is perfect for in the field work, it has a great spring loaded cover that pops up and shields your work from the element. This is ideal for any work done out in the field, this board also comes with pencil slots for spare pencils when out in the field, don't need to fumble around, as it's all there for you. Extra features include another clipboard on the reverse side, so if it isn't raining and you don't need the cover, then you have a board to use. Also has a handy mechanism that opens the clip within the covered board, so you don't have to reach in and wet your work. Ideal. You may be thinking that this is a bit pricey, but to think how much usage you would get out of it and the work that you would save, makes it a more worthwhile buy.

Sturdy, well made, works well unless the wind is behind you. Holds plenty of sheets of paper, but would benefit from a longer paper securing clip to allow multiple sheets of A5 to be stored in portrait.The red colour makes it stand out, and avoids it being trodden on or mislaid. The internal springs make it easier to use than the cheaper alternatives on the market.I'd replace it with the same again, but I hope that I won't need to for a few years.Excellent product.

As an athletics official for field events the landscape weather writer is the product for me, given the british weather it is very good for when it rains and stops my paper getting wet!its a good sturdy clipboard any other time.

The Weatherwriter is just the thing if you spend time standing on a touchline reviewing the performances of referees. The paperwork stays clean and dry, with the result that everything is to hand after the game during the one to one with the ref.

does what it needs to - keeps the docs dry! and no more fly aways ! however; in the states of florida, alabama, georgia, mississippi, louisiana, texas, arkansas, and parts of tennessee, and south carolina- beads of sweat will still fall on the paperwork while in use, looking down, and writing! but atleast the prints are still inside and clipped to the board! carry on weather writer! worthy purchase!
