For the younger Spidey-fans
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has the movie-goers in awe. The animated film has cleaned up at the Box Office and created a whole new fan base in a younger generation, who until now, may have found the Marvel franchise a bit daunting. There's lots going on in the two hour film and this guide captures the main characters, with information about them presented in a very accessible way.The film is rated PG and this guide squarely aims at this audience, The 95 pages are double spreads, each featuring a character or fact central to the film. The artwork is bold and colourful, capturing the excitement and feel of the film. The font is bold and clear. The vocabulary is not especially complex and is informal. This makes it ideal for middle primary schoolers upwards. Thew hard cover will keep it intact too.A great guide from DK, well thought out and executed.

No Doc Ock??
Great sized hardback book for kids who are Spider-Man fans, but my four year old son couldn’t understand why Doc Ock - one of the main baddies in the movie, and his fave Spider-Man villain - wasn’t included in the book. And neither could I! Even Scorpion was in the book and he was only in the movie for 2 mins max!Otherwise the facts are bite size and easy for kids to consume - a perfect introduction to the Spiderverse in book form.

Super SpiderVerse Book
Our seven year old loves this. Having seen the trailer (but not yet seen the film itself) he was keen to know more and as a grown up geek myself I must confess to this being a bit of Spidey's world I knew nothing about. It is a great quality hardback book. Bright colours and clear text look brilliant. It is presented with a non-fiction style contents page so is easy to locate information on specific characters and settings from the film quickly. Each section is set out so it is easy to get into with there being loads of illustrations (not film stills) a short paragraph about each character/setting and then lists of things to know about. Bold titles for the little info' boxes scattered through out make it a fun quick read that can be dipped into and help discuss non-fiction text features too. Great!

Somewhat basic
You would have to be super obsessed and very young to get anything out of this book. It’s really just a run down of the characters told in a very simplistic way. I really don’t recommend it sight unseen.

Unloved
My youngest just ripped it up. I don't know why. Petulant child.

Bright and informative
Great little item for any young Spidey fan. This was for my four year old son who is adoring the pictures whilst we read bits to him. He's just turned 4 and wanted books that looked like his 10 year old brother's (who coincidentally is also loving this book). It's a colourful guide to this character for this particular collection. Great for young ones.

Basic guide to the new film for younger readers
The new Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse movie is great and younger kids may appreciate this book that details all the main characters from the film. The book is full of excellent colour pictures and presents the facts in a fun way, though there are fewer words than I expected, even for younger readers. Each character gets their own page and there are little quizzes and information about the universe making up the rest of the book. The lack of information does seem a little odd for the audience, though, as most of it can be picked up in the film itself, making this feel a little like a quick cash in.In one way it's a pretty good tie in, it's accurate and has some great illustrations, but in another way it feels like a missed opportunity with so little in the way of new information.

Brief guide to the film- ideal for struggling or reluctant readers.
First things first, this isn't a grown up guide or even a middle grade/tween level of guide, this is very basic, short sentences and lots of bright illustration and bullet points or lists to keep the eye flowing across the page and so is absolutely ideal for the young emerging reader say 5-7; those a little older but struggling with literacy for one reason or another; and reluctant readers as it's going to be an easy read rather than pages of small text. It's a fun brief introduction to orientate before or remind after watching the film and ideal as a way of encouraging children who adore Spider-Man and films to engage in reading too.

My Spidey sense didn’t warn me
It’s intended audience for this book is for middle school kids. If you’re a hardcore fan of the movie I would recommend this but if not stick to the movie.

4 year old approved.
My nephew loves this book. I checked it first and it seems to follow the latest movie well. He gets to learn facts about people in the story. Anything to encourage a 4 year old to listen and one day read himself

Very appropriate for elementary school children
I loved that this book was appropriate for my school age children. I purchased this for them to use for the Book Character Parade at school. My son and daughter love reading about their favorite characters from the movie. Great price, great quality, great content.
