This quilt is a lot of fun to make and can be pulled together easily from a mix of dark, medium and light fabrics. The quilt on the pattern cover was made with batiks, however you can choose your favorite fabric style so long as you work with a variety of dark and medium prints. Many of the designer's quilts contain more fabrics than the requirements call for; she enjoys throwing in an extra print or two from her stash just to spice things up. This pattern works up wonderfully with the aid of the Curves For Rectangles Quilt Ruler (CGKA2 by Creative Grids) . The instructions in this pattern will guide you through the cutting process WITH or WITHOUT the ruler, however, using the ruler will provide you with the perfect cut every time as well as the option to choose many different block sizes.
