How do you register a Tag to a Handset?

Place the tag to be registered in front of the handset. Switch on and hold down button for 1 - 3 seconds or until you hear handset beep. Let go of button and tag will register. Tag will beep once. If the tag doesn't beep see manual / check batteries.

How do you un-register a Tag from a handset?

The only time to unregister is if you want to use a tag with a different handset. Hold the left hand side button and button tag registered to simultaneously for 3 seconds or until you hear a beep. Then release both. Tag will beep twice to confirm.

I’m having problems registering a tag?

Open tag fully then close it. If it beeps twice it’s good. Try again or registerer to a different button. If it doesn’t beep, open and close again. If still no beep try new batteries. If it beeps 1 you’ve already registered the tag to the handset.

My range is less than 500 meters, is this normal?

Tabcat ranges UP TO 150m based on a clear line of sight but varies depending on location If any objects are blocking the line-of-sight, the range will be reduced. Locating from a high vantage point will help improve range. Just walk as you locate.

My tag isn’t working or the Handset isn’t recognising my Tag – what should I do?

Firstly, open your tag, re-insert the batteries and then close. If the tag does not beep it is most likely the batteries will need to be changed.
