You need the Aroma Rice Cooker. Very simple and easy to use. Makes perfect rice using the ratio of equal parts water and rice. Aroma automatically shuts off when the rice is ready. The rice was perfect and ends your need to monitor cooking the rice on a stove top. A real time saver and rice is perfect. We made oatmeal which is delicious. We used a ratio of 2 parts water or milk to one part oatmeal. We added 1 teaspoon of vanilla and a handful of dried cranberry. Aroma cooked the oatmeal until it was ready and we added brown sugar and milk. The oatmeal was hot and bursting with taste of cranberry. Vanilla and brown sugar. Again, very easy with excellent oatmeal to start the day. Aroma is an inexpensive kitchen small appliance that adds real value and creates a gourmet quality rice or oatmeal. The pot cleans easily with warm water, soaking with no need to scrub. Highly recommend.

It's fantastic to just dump the rice and water in, turn it on and let it do its thing. Don't have to tend it, just go on to the other parts of your meal prep. As long as you give it the time it needs to finish cooking, you have nothing else to worry about. It automatically shifts into "keep warm" mode when cooking is complete so your timing with meal time doesn't have to be perfect, and yet another piece of the process you don't have to tend to. There's just a solid "click" when it shifts from cook to keep warm mode. There are no chimes, bells or other sounds. The ceramic coating so far is holding up great. Easy to clean it out afterwards as well. For just the two of us, this cooks plenty of rice. Could probably serve a 3rd person regularly without worry. For 4 or more people it would be necessary to move up to a larger size cooker, or make multiple batches. For the price point it makes good rice. No fancy electronics, just a single switch to cook or keep warm (unplug the cord to turn off completely). It's a handy meal helper.

Very happy with it: It is small so uses very little counter space, very easy to use , no fancy digital buttons to get confused with ( you just push the lever down) and the light comes on. It does the job perfectly.

I use extra water and unplug immediately when done. It will overcook and harden the bottom into an unusable slab. I think its too hot.

Wow! What a disappointment. I followed the instructions on making rice including using their measuring cup (which isn't a cup, btw) and the rice came out like pudding. The lid and pot jiggled and I wasn't sure what was happening. I liked it because it was small and wouldn't take up a whole lot of space, but what a failure! I first thought it was my rice so I had my daughter try it and she has a friend over from Japan and they had the same results. My window to return has closed so this will go to Goodwill. I feel bad for the person who picks it up, but I can't bring myself to send it to the landfill even though that's where it belongs. Maybe the next person will have better luck or can use it for some craft project warming something up. Anyway - don't waste your money.

I’ve used this once and it does the job. I wanted an affordable/reliable rice cooker with a ceramic coating and I found it. It does feel pretty cheap but that’s what you pay for. I would avoid using any metal utensils or leave anything in the rice bowl just to make sure it doesn’t scratch up. The bowl feels so light and not sturdy so I would becareful when handling. The rice cup and spoon it comes with also feels so cheap. The spoon and cup that came with my mini DASH rice cooker were better quality. When cooking rice, I would recommend going with the directions (1C rice = 1C water). I’ve always had to do less water than what it calls for because it would turn out way too soft/watery. With this cooker I find that it respectfully needs that 1 to 1 ratio. I think this is great to have for an affordable ceramic lined rice cooker. It’s great for a two person household that likes to do those rice cooker meal recipes. It doesn’t take up a lot of room and is easily portable.

So far so good! Water did not spill over when it started boiling, and it cooked the basmati rice eith tumeric just fine. I am happy either way my purchase.

We are amazed at how fast and the quality of the cooked rice using this Aroma cooker. It prepares perfect rice so fast and the cleanup is almost non-existent. Really a great buy. We have rice much more often now.

This came from the USA with a USA plug and instructions not to be used on any other power supply than 120 v the UK is not 120, hence the item is on its way back to the USA

A bit disappointed that the rice cooker was not made to UK spec. It has the wrong plug type and wrong voltage. I thought when I ordered from the UK Amazon site, the appliance should be made for or suitable for the local spec.

Muy bien para porciones pequeñas, si es para una pareja o individual funciona muy bien.
