Too Much Glue Hardcover – Picture Book, September 1, 2013

The kids listened intently to this book, the colorful pictures help to keep their attention. We still talk about this book in class when we are ready to use glue.

Loved the fact that not only did my daughter love the book but I actually enjoyed it as well lol. Cute book to have in your collection. I think this would also be a perfect book for a art teacher to read to their class. Worth the read, you won't be disappointed.

Matty loves glue. He and his dad use glue all the time at home. At school, the teacher does not want him to use too much glue. But Matty cannot resist and puts glue all over his desk along with sparkles and bangles and all kinds of shiny things then he jumps in. He expects to get off his desk but he cannot. So what is he to do? What help will his friends give him? Can the nurse or principal help? Will he get home after school?I loved this book. Matty is so cool. I love the solutions his friends come up with but they only add to the mess on Matty. I love his dad's solution. It's simple and easy. Matty is one of a kind. So are his parents.The illustrations are bright and colorful. Your child will love this book but keep the glue hidden.

I read this book for my Kinder class they loved it. It is full of color and a super easy read... It teaches them about what can happen if you use too much glue on a project only. A dad and son use a lot of glue for a project in this book. It does not give a full explanation of using too much glue overall. But it is a great fun book to read to 4 year olds and older. Get the book or watch it on Youtube read aloud series.

I love this book so much because it helps me to teach my pre-kindergartners to only use a small dab of glue. We actually have a rhyme a little dab glue will do a little dab glue will do when we let them use liquid glue. This teaches them that too what could happen if they used too much glue. I had this book previously but where in tear over the past five years torrid up so I had to get a new one.!

I use this book every year at the beginning of the school year. My kiddos always love it!

This is a comical look at what happens all the time in my first grade classroom. Each year, we must learn how to use glue. How do you open the bottle? How do you apply it without making a puddle? How do you close it so it won't dry out? Once you're "Glue Certified," you may have a bottle of glue. While adults find this amusing, children find it useful, and we culminate our week by reading this silly story about a boy who got carried away with his glue. By the end of the book, he has so much glue, he himself has become the art project and his parents love it! I really like the way the author keeps a positive outlook on the whole scenario. The main character is not punished or yelled at or ridiculed, which is very important to me at this age. We are learning, and we discuss what would be smart choices and what would be foolish choices. This book is a really fun and silly way to cap off a serious and valuable lesson.
