I just know what I like. This bourbon has a sweetness that washes over your palate bringing out notes of caramel and coconut. An enticing aroma draws you in and that slight burn when tasting. I hadn't any idea what the difference was until I Googled it - basically bourbon has to be 51% made from corn mash. My only real experience of American whisky was Jack Daniels which is an insult to the tongue, best used for lighting BBQ's. Vile, harsh stuff and that put me off trying American whisky's overall. Until now. And, well, I was wrong to ignore bourbon, at least this one. It's absolutely wonderful. Smooth, deep and fruity with an easy on the palette feel. My wife likes a small nip each evening now and we both agreed that this is Christmas pudding in a bottle.
