Toughees Christine Velcro School Shoe

Although well made on the outside, the inner soles had large ridges and bumps from material being rucked up under the sole lining - too uncomfortable to wear. Also they were MASSIVE - not just a size too big (my fault) but they are really deep in height - I could get my fingers in over my daughters foot in the shoe! - but they are also wide. I worry that she would actually hurt herself walking in them, and not good to wear sitting down on the floor in class, as infants do - had to send them back. The rubber sole is very very substantial - a bit much for a 5/6 year old girl! She said her ankles hurt when she walked in them. Bit disappointed as she has had Toughees 'Kate' shoe, and that has lasted her for a whole year! This 'christine' style would probably suit an older girl.

Fantastic look to be hard wearing shoes with plenty of width for my little girl who has a G/H fitting. More importantly my daughter loves them and they look like they will take impact of school life (unlike her old shoes 😕).Obviously she is yet to wear them but if they survive as well as they look like they should, I will be purchasing the next size too.

These shoes are tough and look great. My daughter is delighted with them as the shoes in the shops for her are quite babyish. They are similar to doc martens to look at and I think they will take a while to wear out. Would buy again. I have never used an Amazon locker before but it was easy and arrived as promised. I'm afraid it's a one star due to the strap - Velcro came away from the strap after 6 weeks and then the metal loop that you insert the strap into came away from the shoe. They are now unwearable after only 3 months of use. Very disappointed as I am unable to return them.

After 3 days of use the poorly designed and badly assembled shoes have worn the skin off my little ones ankles. The leather is too stiff unforgiving and will cause skin scuffs. The stitching protrudes from the strap rubbing through the sock and wearing the skin away.

I ordered these for my daughter in September, She is an 11.5 and I ordered a size 12 for her.The quality is nice and sturdy and looks like they would last the whole year. However they are way too big for her feet and they are pretty firm inside- no padding, so I am not sure whether these shoes would rub her whilst she was playing?I returned these so I cannot comment on how they last etc, but if they fit I would of kept them.

Nice quality shoes, but the velcro only lasted a few months, so now we can't use them.

I bought these for my 6 year old daughter hoping they would last a bit longer than the rest of her school shoes.That was 2 months ago and they don't even have a mark on them yet!I am really impressed. So much so, I bought another pair for my older daughter. They seem true to size as well.
