I highly recommend this magnetic ball and rod set. It is absolutely beautiful. The rods are shiny silver color and the balls are highly polished gold-tone. The rods are magnetic, the balls are not. The magnetic rods are quite small [about 3/8 inch] but they are the most powerful magnets I’ve ever seen. So strong, in fact, that my sculptures were solid-strong. I was able to pick them up and toss them around with no shifting of any of the balls or the rods.I love this magnetic ball and rod set. I spent the better part of the evening creating. I created a snail and then an angler fish. Part imagination, part logic. Perfect integration of right and left brain..

I made the mistake of opening it to try it. This thing is addictive. It is so beautiful and well made. All the pieces are beautifully polished and feel good to the hand. These magnetic balls are much bigger than I thought they were going to be. This is an amazing adult toy. I put it all back nicely to give to my 90 year old Dad for Father's Day

The image presented is extremely deceiving, as it appears that the pieces are the size of legitimate toys. They are in fact, miniscule, not only dangerous for children, but they are so tiny that cannot even pick them up without tweezers. Much further down the page, it does indicate the actual size, but the image is so deceiving that I didn't notice it. The entire set of 148 pieces comes in a round tin that measures 2 and a half INCHES in diameter, and 2 3/4 inches high, and contains mostly foam packing material. The seller is obnoxious, does not offer free returns, and in fact told me that he knows it would cost me too much to return it to The Netherlands, where it was shipped from. I finally negotiated a partial refund, but am still out way too much. I highly recommend that you DO NOT buy anything from this seller

In reality the pieces are very small and will require caution while handing.I will not recommend this gifting to kids below 6 years, as they might swallow some of the smaller pieces.The magnet is strong and stays in place for most of the time.Also seems expensive for the pieces of magnets and steel bearings.

Got this for my boys and they love them definitely will buy again !

Fun to play with

Bought this as a christmas present for my grandson but due to autumn school holidays and poor weather I ended up giving them to him early as he was nipping his mums head. It worked as I know how much he enjoys creating from nothing. They are very strong albeit small magnets and you can make 3d shapes from them, and there is a nice tin to store them in . They are top quality material and very pleasant to the touch. He loves them but now I have to order another set as his sister loves them too now and we all know brothers n sisters dinna share well. Really pleased and can see me ordering more as models keep getting bigger.

Bought these fir Christmas but opened the box to check they were OK. They are smaller than expected but for an older child like my son they will be good, they dont feel much like a toy so he will like that. They are more of an adult fidget gadget. Seem good quality, I'm happy with them.

My boy and husband love these magnet building blocks. We purchased two of them total 296 magnets. they are very strong magnets and you can build different 3d shapes. They come in a nice metal tin. Very happy with the purchase

Excellent and therapeutic "toy". Many possibilities. The only problem is that I've had to buy three sets to extend my sculptures. Pieces are small and it has to be used on a flat surfaces, away from sofa edges!

Looks good, only thing is I never read the description and the set is tiny.
