Heats up pretty quickly, not sure if it’s 10 seconds but it was fast. There’s a little light that stops flashing when it’s heated up which is cool. The temperature control is great, my last straighteners were basic and did not have temperature adjustment so this is a real treat. I use 190 for my hair which seems to work well but it’s easy to change it if you need a higher temperature. It looks very good, and the case it comes with feels very high quality, as do the straighteners themselves. They don’t feel very heavy and are a decent size to get hair done in decent amounts and very easily. The cable is also very long, I think it’s the longest cable I’ve ever had in a pair of straighteners to be honest. My plug point is on the floor and I moved a couple feet away from it and kneeled so I could see myself in my mirror (I have the worst mirror placement I know) with no problems. Considering my last straighteners meant I had to sit on the floor next to the plug and place a different wall mirror opposite me, also on the floor because the cable was too short otherwise, this is certainly a breath of fresh air.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and, while it’s not one of the most expensive, it is more than I’ve paid for a pair in many years, but, so far at least, it’s been worth it

I have thick, mid length hair which has a tendency to wave …especially at the back. These are brilliant I think personally are way better than my cloud nine straighteners!! And They have longer blades than the cloud nines . I can’t recommend these Remington straighteners enough It’s Very fast at reaching optimum temps, comes with its own travel pouch ( I bought a flat thermo pad to protect furniture ..) has a cut out if left on .. which is brill!

I absolutely adore my pearls, I tried the sleek and shine but they just don't do what these do I'm afraid , I upgraded from my old pearls to these and I'm so happy with them I would never use anything else I'm more than happy with these my hair feel silky smooth every time

For reference I have porous, resistant, super frizzy 3A hair.It has a good variety of heat settings 150-235 deg c.I like the little pouch this comes with it makes storage so much easier. It’s also a nice looking device although I think the black cable lets it down. A decent straightener for a fair price.

So good to have temperature settings, instead of just getting hot.

What can I say. Great quality straighteners for the price. First time using Remington and I am not disappointed. I have frizzy hair and these are the best I've ever had and my hair stays straight without the frizz. Highly recommend buying these.

I have been using the straighteners for two weeks. TheyGet hot within 10 secondsHair slides nicely through bladesOnly downside so far. The cable is thin and not very flexible so when it tangles it’s difficult to free. I’m not sure how long they will last
